We had one recently in the shop due to a problem with the drive motor. I asked the tech how many of those he had done since it was the first time I had seen a hybrid CVT out of the car(in our shop) and he said it was only the second one he had done for that issue. It had something like 70K-ish miles on it. Being warrantied.

Or 30MPG city(5MPG increase) for an AWD Hybrid? That actually has offroad capability?

My only issue was the price. They loaded them up to higher prices with out offering a base model. I understand why though.

Oh wait. You linked the '19 Hybrid. Not the earlier one from the OP.

17 miles of EV alone would have me using next to nothing in gas commuting to work each day. And I have talked to 2 people that have driven it and liked it better than the standard Crosstrek.

Of course, price still comes into this. HOWEVER, considering how much gas it would save me.......

The one in that link is for the 2019. OPs linked article is about the first Crosstrek Hybrid, which is NOT a "brought back" model. The only similarity between the 2 is they are both true AWD and both Hybrid batteries are in the back.

17 miles no gasoline. More acceleration. I guess that's about it until you get into majorly subjective things. Like I said, though. Price is a bit up; but, can't you get a refund for this one?

I swore e/hybrid tax credits were a thing that only happened when they all first came around and the money all ran out.

I think now the only savings are on your wallet at the pump.

And the Crosstrek is the #1 selling vehicle in its segment.
