2015 WRX/ STi exhaust options

I have a Tomei Expreme cat back sitting in my living room and wanted to see if anybody has installed this system with a resonated downpipe? My hope is that having two resonators will mitigate any drone. I'm looking at either an ETS resonated catless downpipe or the Cobb catted and resonated downpipe.

Which gaskets? For the mid to turbo pipe or the axle back gaskets? You can get the axle-back 2.5" gaskets from a Subaru parts shop. The 3" gasket for mid to turbo, order from Amazon, probably no more than $10.

if you need your hand held and it seems like you do, call grimmspeed tell em what you have and what gaskets you need and I'm sure they can help you out.

or go to their website select the proper items and check out. they have great gaskets of every size. give em a holler.

Thanks I wasn't sure if the size gasket would be different since it's after market. I need the axle back gaskets for both mufflers and the mid pipe one. It looks like Subaru parts has them all, assuming they're the same size as factory. I appreciate your help.

Anyone heard of X-Force exhaust out of Australia, looks like subispeed just started carrying them and priced low around $550....

I used to have one of their VAREX remote controlled mufflers on my prelude.

Worked fine with nice build quality from memory.

Yeah they are talked about earlier in this thread. Vendors are saying they are quality pieces but I have no experience with them personally.

I shoot with a 7D MK II with a external mike. Audio should be good quality. I'll have it up this week.

Did not know the Q300 was 68lbs. That's almost twice the weight of the stock exhuast. Surprised at the amount of people that run them. Thats heavy.

Yeah I've thought about switching to a dual exit cbe but didn't want to go w/ anything heavier than the stock one. That Q300 makes my 15lb Tomei feel anorexic ha

The Xforce looks more like the Invidia Q300. And the Xforce is quiet and the Subispeed sounds great.

Just added the Depo Racing catted J pipe to my mishimoto CBE and it changed the sound A LOT (for the better in my opinion) It is slightly louder but most of all the sound has filled in with a lot more mid and throaty tones.

I will say it's pretty freaking loud on a cold start when (I am assuming) the TGVs are closed. It makes a sort of raspy whistle but once open (10-20 sec) it goes back to a nice rumble.

Does anyone else think the cold start is loud on their j-pipe set up?

I feel like I can't find a good balance between a deep rumble and not too loud. Can't decide what to get, Nameless 3.5' tips with muffler delete or 3.5 tips with 4'' muffler. Muffler delete sounds a bit loud but 4'' muffler seems too low..

I'm running a catless j-pipe/midpipe setup w/ my Tomei and yeah cold starts are loud AF. Pretty much to the point where I have to almost instantly back out of my garage in the morning so I don't wake up my gf's kids. I'll try and get a video when I leave work today.

HAHA! That is exactly how I feel, except I'm worried my neighbors will get mad AF. I think that it's probably not as loud from a bit of a distance as we think it is (at least I hope) I think I'm going to order a decibel meter just to see.

I have the 4'' mufflers. At cold starts, I am glad I have the mufflers. But for everything else, I sort of wish I got the deletes.

Is anyone running the subispeed catback w/ an aftermarket downpipe? I'm interested in seeing what that sounds like once the exhaust is opened up more.

I've got the 4" muffler/3.5" tip setup on mine and as someone who uses it as a daily, it's a perfect setup. At cruising speed you can just barely hear it (unless you have the radio up) but when you crack into it you get a deep throaty-ness from it. Maybe placebo, but to me I can hear a bit of the boxer rumble when you're holding throttle around 2k-2300 RPMs. It's definitely no UEL setup but it's better than the constant buzz of the stock exhaust.

Yea cold starts, its pretty loud but I like how it sounds on everything else as well. Is there any noticeable drone on? I usually have the radio on anyway.

Doesn't sound half bad either. I'd consider this. The full TBE is only ~$800, but I'd probably opt for another j-pipe.
