Default IS there a way to double-check my timing belt alignment?

I already put it back in on the marks. But I want to be absolutely sure before I go starting it. I had both cam gears pointed directly up and same with the crank gear, and then I line up the marks on the belt with those. Anyone.

you can roll the motor over and when it hit's TDC all the marks should line up....the belt will only line up like once every 9 revolutions or so.

Shouldn't it line up every other revolution?

I cranked it around by hand a bunch of times and once it came back with the marks on the gears lined up facing upwards. I have not got the marks on the belt to line up yet but have probably only cranked it around like five times. So how often should it go to TDC with all of the marks facing straight up?

Well, the 2.5L/3.0L Ford Duratech engines that we build here at work (they go in Contour/Taurus/Escape...etc) take 30 crankshaft revolutions for all the timing marks to line up again.
