I think the OP should've defined "high power" because the only car so far that meets that criteria so far is 05_wrex. That's not to say that any of these cars are to scoff at, heck mine blew up at 90k haha.

My 06 STi just turned 108k, is that considered high milage? OE Internals, completely stock motor on the inside but a slew of bolts ons and I'm around 435HP. Will know for sure when my hydra gets back from Hydra EMS and Phil at element retunes my car on the now 2.7 software.

Maybe I'm biased because I work around trucks that routinely go over 1 million miles on a motor but I don't consider anything high mileage until it at least starts to get very near the 200k mark. I mean seriously, with the technology out there these days there is something very wrong with a car that can't make it that far without any major problems.
I would say power is a little more subjective since a high power 2.0 is going to have different capabilities than a 2.5, and for that matter what is considered high power for a Subaru in general will be very different than what you would call high power on a lot of other cars. In this case though I think personally I would say the bar for this thread should be in the ballpark of 150k+ miles and 400+ whp, anything less than that I wouldn't call high power or high mileage, not that there's anything wrong with other cars, heck my car doesn't fit either criteria and I'm fine with that, its just not what this thread is about. Idk, just my opinion, carry on. |

I've been on this power level since around 30,000ish miles when i got my reenlistment check. So for just around 75,000 miles I've been on this power level. And I see a lot of Subaru owners grenade their motors for following the wrong advice or read the wrong thing they call "research" so IMO anyone who has over 100,000 miles gets an applause from me and awesome job and is considered "high milage" worthy enough of this thread. But I wouldn't consider "high power" on a stock block unless it was over 350HP. Just my opinion. Everyone keep on keeping on and doing ya thang. 04 wrx stage 3 for 7 years :-) still on stock internals at 155k miles.
Vf34, sti intercooler, pink injectors, walboro pump, invidia dp, stromung 3" exhaust, kartboy crank pulley, gates racing timing belt, gimmick inlet, spt intake and Cobb ots map. Still boosting 1.4 bar for miles of smiles...haven't even mentioned the book of chassis/suspension mods. Still love the car, I was a new car every year before I found my happiness in this one :-) |

Definitely not. Built block minus sleeves. Those are race gas numbers. Low torque is because of conservative timing...stock sleeves and all. Haha.
Car has 28k on it. Engine only has 4500 miles on it. I really don't belong in this thread. Lol. Engine never failed. Build was done just because. |
