Odds are good and I would not in the least be surprised.
I'll bet there's at NASIOC atleast one murderer, rapist, wife beater, as well as a child abuser or five too. Transgender and transvestite too wouldn't be a shocker. OT represents a cross section of white America as based on multiple past polls. - Janq |

In my dating experience I've randomly met a few people who turned out to be on nasioc too. I'm cisgender, but a lot of bi people have trans tendencies too or just get lumped into the other than LG grouping. I never got to know these guys well enough to get into a gender discussion, let alone anything else, with any of them, but there's one I wouldn't be surprised. He sent me a video... So yeah, there must be. It's a big forum. And I'm just going to "get" that you're using odd examples of not all that common things in society to lump trans people in with, and not actually think that gender identity is comparable to the other things listed. One might get the impression OT wasn't tolerant or accepting of LGBT people and I've been corrected about that more than once. |

No, I don't think so. But in conversation it helps to be able to use a word rather than explain something you're not. It exists, I use it. It takes less time to say or write than "not transgender" or, "biologically male with a matching gender identity".
And honestly, it didn't hurt to learn it, didn't hurt to use it, and is really really easy, so why not? If it makes one trans person feel a bit more comfortable about their surroundings then that's great. Fighting it or complaining about it takes more effort and offends them, so what's the point? |

What's next? Male and Female make everything else "abnormal" so we have to call them something else? I'm not a male, I'm a human being with dangly flesh bits that I was born with, and also was culturally and socially conditioned to fill a masculine-esqe society role that my mental faculties also agree with. That's going to be really hard to put on bathroom doors. |
