I thought i'd give you an update on the new patch that i am working on and of course gauge interest

Features currently implemented:
1.Launch control

I suppose there isn't enough room to include a timing table, fuel table and injector scaling? Just thinking of a map switch to change from a pump tune to a race or E85 tune.

He's allowing the switch from MT to AT WG & Boost tables in the factory ROM, similar to ECUTec I'm sure.

Very nice!

Are you planning on carrying this over to 32bit or will there be changes?

well there is room in a different area, but this is something else and out of scope of current patch in discussion.

On the other hand not all ROMs have 2x boost and wg tables from the factory

Boost & wg map switching is toggled when the engine is running, vehicle is not stationary, throttle is fully depressed and rear defogger switch is toggled from off to on.

Valet mode is toggled when the vehicle is stationary, ignition is on without engine running, throttle is fully depressed and rear defogger switch is toggled from off to on

In that case, I'm really looking for a quickly flashing CEL on knock/FBKC. Similar to the UTEC style.

Honestly, it isn't really necessary. Just tune for 4th gear and use the vehicle speed compensation for 1st gear.

If it's really an issue, a good BCS isn't that expensive.

16 bit ECU's do not have vehicle speed compensation for first gear.I use a GMBCS.I would like to tune for 1st or 2nd gear, which allows for the quickest spool up.Yes,yes it is necessary. It would allow any 3 port to work like an MBC but without the PTFB.

I heard about running a MBC in parallel with the GMBCS would be be the current fix. Running high Wastegate duty then have the MBC as the failsafe for the top end in higher gears. Not exactly sure what is meant by in parallel but I am kinda wanting to do this. I would have to think about the vacuum hose routing for a bit to come up with the solution.

ok here it is.

Set wastegate duty to 100% in the full throttle column.

Set up a Tee to split manifold pressure to both BCS and MBC than set up a Tee to connect the output of the BCS and the output of the MBC to the Wastegate.

Effectively you have an Manual Boost controller at Full Throttle and use the computers wastegate duty at part throttle. If the computer want's the wastegate to open it does, if the MBC wants it to open it does.

I just now wish I hadn't sold my Perrin MBC.
