The new Subayota or Toyotaruu in near production form! At least exterior and powertrain wise.

Hmm. Competition for the Hyundai Genesis? It is a good-looking car.

They haven't been super forthcoming on whether or not its FI. It's an impressive output if it isn't, but yeah, I'd rather have it be a boosted motor as well.

eh, we'll have enough boosted cars... that set up would be pretty sweet for autox and PAX. or I'll just buy my BMW...

IMO the interior is awful, but the exterior has potential.

The headlights and rims look like something out of Donk, however the lines and curves screw sexy asian lady. it should have the designers of the 05+ LGt's to style the inside then it will be |

Sexy little car. I agree the wheels and interior need work. Anyone besides me think SVX when seeing the rims?
Also think they need at least an engine option that puts it at or above the 300 hp range to better compete with similar cars. Last edited by fishAK; 10-06-2009 at 11:01 PM. |

You can't compare a cult classic like an SVX to this toyotaru just doesn't work. The Svx was the only subaru that wasn't a subaru. It didn't have anything the other ones had style wise, was considered ahead of it's time and sales were terrible. Now it rests amoung some of the greatest automotives failures everyone will confess they love, the 3000gt, nsx, ect. Fish you can't compare say Ellen Page to Helen Hunt, just doesn't work that way buddy |

I wasn't comparing the cars, just the wheels. Get a grip, man.
They both have a cork-screw mag kinda thing going on. SVX: Toyota FT-86: |

Oh yeah...those talons were fun to drive....used to work at the old Eagle dealer here, and got to shuttle cars around. I loved it when I had to drive one of those.

That could be a great fun entry level sports car if they do it right. Trying to tap in the AE86 reverence (legend?) seems risky if they can't pull it off, especially the pricing.
