two things:

- the BRZ could look very similar to the rallyspec lancia stratos. mild lift, wheel/tire package, skidplates... dead ringer

thoughts?

i really dont care for your bumper but am jealous about the rest
Actually, they're sitting right behind the bumper skin. I suppose I could've taken a side pic. Oh, and most people are smart enough to not hit my bumper, it's not forgiving at all. That dent is from a sudden stop caused by a dried up creek bed (aka a wadi) when I was doing just shy of 30mph.

I'm amazed at how much sand my car is still holding onto from that day I drove on the beach. I knew I would see sand underneath forever, like on the mounts and little places. But I found sand inside my hubs, inside my brake piston/calipers, and more places when I was doing my wheel bearings yesterday.

I really didn't think sand would be able to get in the brake cylinder but damn!

Every grain of sand was worth driving on the beach though. Definitely doing it again if I get the chance.

Love the Stratos! One of my favorite rally cars from that era!

While I don't know how much the BRZ looks like the Stratos, it hasn't kept the Japanese from rallying them...........

Not many details on the site where I found it. Well, actually there's the full build up on it, but it's all in Engrish, and I have no idea what their talking about haha

And the bit I was specially interested in......

Can't wait til someone shows up with one at a local RallyX or stage rally.

some updated pics of my ride. Did a Rust-Oleum special Satin Hunt Club Green with Satin Black bottom, de-scooped Hood, 2" Kustom Snorkel, and Swaybar delete. Slowly bashing in the rockers for a "bobbed" siding instead of boat siding. Haven't had any action shots and haven't 100% sealed the snorkel as I might go up to a 3 inch pipe instead, not sure yet.

the bobbing-

Gotta love the fact that the flex is sooo much better but no panic swerves at high speeds and wish I had gone up another inch or 2. Next time.
Still gotta get a roof rack for it and do a rear bumper.
Love the rally BRZs and a lot of the other Scoobies out there. Keep em comin'.

Tried that, Japanese translates really badly into English lol The majority of the paragraphs just don't make any sense. It does make for some pretty amusing sentences though haha.

I just bought it about 3 weeks ago. It's a one owner, 100% stock and unmolested, 1992 Si, all numbers match. It ain't easy to find one of those anymore!

So far I've been replacing some worn bushings with OE replacements, swapped in some Koni SA's, some HP+ up front, and threw some baby *Specs on the OE 14x5's. Oh, and rally armor flaps for an 02-07 Impreza The goal is to restore to stock, but I guess I can't run SF with the Koni's.

There are still a few things I need to go through on the car, but it's coming together nicely. I'm also still on the fence about what tire's to run for RallyX.

A few of those on here: http://www.northursalia.com/techdocs/spring/spring.html

I've never had any luck finding Foz rates posted anywhere.

Chased a storm into an area with all dirt/gravel roads. Came out 20 minutes later with just a little dust on the sides.
-_-

so I would have a "just plain dirty" picture, but no.

Well, the second month I owned my new (to me) STI we were up in the mountains hiking. We were on a gravel road (so there had to be some dirt ) and came across this very treacherous creek crossing. There went the fender liner!!! Hooray new car! This just surpased month one ownership when a road gator cracked the front bumper.
So much fun, I thought I would share!

^^OOooooohhhhh dear........

Lol, fender liner seemed to have popped out a little prematurely there? I've seen a lot of fender liner deaths, but usually with a bit more thrashing then that?

yup...that's my wife, hahahaha!!!
After this occurance, I started investigating how this new car of mine was held together (as I was not very impressed with such a light thrashing either (thinking, rally car my ass)). I discovered that there were SEVERAL clips missing in many places (both fender liners, hood scoop, intake, etc.) After a few trips to the shop, I think she is a little more solid now.
