1. HP at the WHEELS (whp) or hp at the CRANK (chp)? 250 at the wheels
2. What type of dyno are you going to be shooting for this number on? - Not sure, it's at the shop below. 3. If possible, tell us what shop it is. Someone may know how high or low that particular dyno reads. - Autotech Motorsports LLC 4. Where do you live? If not a well known city, what is the elevation? - San Diego, CA(pretty flat)/Alpine(~3000ft) 5. What kind of gas will you be using? (octane level) - 91 6. Are you opposed to a FMIC? - Not really.. |

Dyno figures are one thing, lap/400m times are another.
What is more important to you? Just remember, dynos are different, stopwatches/timing traps NEVER LIE!!! Food for thought. |

So trap speeds arent always the best indicator either. But they are typically more reliable than dynos. Since dynos vary so wildly. |

That is something a lot of people also dont think about, and it affects you at ANY mod level. Say you go stage 2 at 10,000 miles. Then you put 50k more on the car. There is a 100% chance your tune is off, even if you maintained it. Most likely not majorly off, but you can definitely re-optimize to compensate for changes. |

what is the avg. whp for a 2.0l wrx that has tbe/uppipe/stagw two map?
are such numbers, setups good for low to mid 13's on track? i want to be running low 13's with an average driver skills, but i do not want to swap turbos. |

If you want to see big numbers - you can just dyno on a perfect weather conditions day, adjust correction factors in your favor, and make sure you use a high reading dyno.
If you're talking straight-line racing - the only thing that matters is timeslips.. and there is much, much more to timeslips than dyno #'s |

I have 220 awhp from a catless exhaust(including uppipe) and an opensource tune from DSG, near me. They have a very conservative dyno (aka "the heartbreaker"). My car has high milage, so the turbo isn't probably spooling like a new one, but given that other guys in the proven power section have done high 12s to 13s with the same hp, I'd feel pretty comfortable saying you could make your goal at stage 2. Finding the perfect launch rpm appears to be the key as much as anything, it seems.

Even timeslips dont tell the whole story. Same car different driver can vary almost a full second and 5mph. |

Personally, I use dynos for good tuning. The HP#s are just a bonus for me.
I care more about A/F safety and longevity of my motor. |

I will never forget this one car.
2002 WRX sedan Mod list Samco IC hoses. 14.0 flat in the 1/4 mile. consistant, I saw this car do it 5-6 times in a row, pump gas, no meth or race gas added. |
