Default Will coilpacks from 2.5L WRX or STI fit on 2.0L WRX?

Just wondering if coilpacks are interchangeable among impreza models.

Thanks in advance.

they might fit but since the part numbers are different there is something different about them. I would say no.

They are physically the same, but I've heard e-rumors that the 2.5L ones put out .0001 megajoules or whatever more than the 2.0L ones. Different part numbers could mean anything, so never rely on that as a determining factor as they can change part numbers because the company that makes the box the part comes in changed...yes...part numbers are THAT finite.

The aftermarket ones are the same for both wrx and sti. I asked some time ago when they first came out. So I would have to say based on that the differance has to be minor. As the wiring would be the same.

Yes different vendors may equal different part numbers but if they were interchangeable parts they would be listed so in the parts system.
