Question Anyone on Canadian Direct or Coast Capital for Optional Insurance?

Just wonder what kind of rates you're getting.

For my 02 WRX:

$2 mil 3rd party liability, $300 collision, $200 comprehensive
CDI $1610 <-- not a typo, I had them recheck too.
ICBC 48% roadstar discounted to $871

$2mil 3rd party liabiltiy, $200 collision, $100 comprehensive
Coastcaptial $886

All the above does not include basic insurance cost.

So, my cheapest route is thru ICBC. I'm not so sure it's worth splitting my insurance up for Coastcapital's lower deductibles and the possibility of more hassles if I did get into an accident.

I'm saving with CDI. My insurance is only $136 total per month. I can say that since I just got into a Rear Ender last month, that CDI has totally taken care of me. They were fast in setting up a repair shop to take my car in. No deductible since it was 100% the other guys fault, but it was a $300 deductible otherwise.

I'm happy. Been with them for about 4 years now.

So if they guy that rear ended you is on ICBC why wouldn't ICBC just cover it. Or does your insurance agency take care of you and then go after ICBC for reimbursement?

They take care of me first, and then they screw ICBC. Love it

I believe that's how it would work when a private insurance is involved for the comprehensive coverage, depends of course how good your insurance company is
