My good friend worked for a really good car audio shop at the time, so I had him do a full under-seat custom bracket, 700w amp, and subwoofer setup. Really pleased with this, it sounds fantastic!

My detailing kit. Favorites are Poorboy's World detailer, Chemical Guys Wax's, and Sonax Polymer Net Shield. Highly recommend the PNS.

This is the 3" Nameless Performance muffler delete (axleback) w/ double-walled tips, and my initial impressions are much more than I had anticipated. I had only ever experienced the stock exhaust setup on my '13 STI, so the difference in sound really put a grin on my face! Price: $299 USD.

It sounds much better than I had even anticipated! It's fantastic. I'd say it's fairly aggressive, a little throaty, slightly obnoxious .... but only when you want it to be. Cold start is definitely quite loud, but the second it hits temp. and the idle drops down... it's instantly as quiet as stock. Idling at a light - can't even tell it's there. Cruising Deerfoot at a steady 3k 3rpms - it's very pleasing, a subtle amount of feedback but not the kind of loudness that would give you a headache from a simple trip out to Canmore.

But the moment you accelerate, change gears, downshift, have a little spirited merge onto the freeway .... damn!!! I have to say this is the best "mod" I've done to the car! ;D

Here are some photos + video!!

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to welding. Actually, I have zero knowledge when it comes to the topic... however, I can say it looks nice. Really really nice...

Installed these $10 stickers this weekend.. a little tricky to get lined up perfectly, but with some patience they weren't too much trouble. (Tip: If you have a 15+ and get these, use a tooth-pick to help place and line up the letters.)
(So dirty, I know...)

Finally made it over to the new car wash near my place. Amazing.. I really hope this place stays in successful enough business to maintain their quality. I just hope it doesn't become too overly popular that it reduces quality from people who aren't considerate of the equipment etc..

I've neglected my Nasioc journal of my WRX for too long! So, let's go back only a couple months (seriously, there was still this much snow not too long ago) and start from there! I'll just post the good stuff for my Nasioc friends, the photos - Because who doesn't love photos!

Great journal! I've been following you on IG for a little while now.

Just curious, why the downsize on the summer tires?

Hey man thank you! First comment in my Nasioc thread haha!!

These Yokohama's came with the TSW's! I just bought them used from a member of our local Subie group and I believe he was running some camber so they were stretched. The verdict: I didn't like them!! Very noisy, not very comfortably, not as great cornering. (Plus they were pretty worn, too, which didn't help!)

Just picked some new wheels up though which I will show very soon!!!

Some new wheels for the WRX. These are 18 x 9.5 Rota PWR-RA's, in 255 Cooper Zeon RS3-S tires! The old bronze TSW's are sold sadly, but I have STI Enkei's for winter coming soon!!!!

This is stock suspension? I didn't realize the VA WRX had that little wheel gap from the factory.

Yup, stock suspension!

My old TSW's were 18 x 8.5 and had 225 tires stretched onto them. So this made the gap look bigger. Too big!! Friends would joke about my car being lifted

So now, these new Rota's are 18 x 9.5 but I put a 255 tire onto them. So it fills the gap MUCH more! It looks way better to me now. I was worried about rubbing when turning, but so far I've had no problems at all. I don't think I could go bigger or adjust suspension right now very much though!!

Hey Jim, thanks man!! I'm awaiting patiently to see what's next for you!

Quick video here guys I want to share, some tips I use to keep my engine bay looking super clean. For my car being almost 2 years old, I like to think I've kept the engine bay looking nearly as good as the day I brought it home!!! You can see in the video below!!

Did a quick oil change this past weekend! I love the drain valve, I've done 3 Oil Changes with it now and man, it's so easy. It takes me more time getting the car up on the ramps (2x4's, too low with the lip) than it does to actually drain out the oil and do the change haha!!

IMG_6198 by Spencer, on Flickr

Sending out a sample to Blackstone!..

IMG_6197 by Spencer, on Flickr

Then I did my first ever AutoX!!! Had an absolute blast. My times improved throughout the day which was great!! The Cooper Zeon RS3-S's seemed to perform very well despite the temperature being only around 10* Celsius.

IMG_6233 by Spencer, on Flickr

IMG_6227 by Spencer, on Flickr

I will share some video of my first AutoX soon!! Then you guys can maybe give me some critique!

Lastly, a quick night shot on this nice cobblestone road..

This weekend was the final weekend with my summers on! Temps dropping down to -15*C in the overnights some days coming up this week with 10-20cm snow expected. As sad as I am to have to tuck my summers away for the season, this car is so much fun to drive in the snow haha.

Snapped a few last shots this weekend before winter season...

Wow that's cold. Here in Southern California our "winter" finally arrived...it's 65*F! (that's about 18*C for you and this is about as cold as it ever gets here )

Car looks good!
