Sounds like a guy that was talking to me on black ops. Told me he's got an S4 with 420wtq/hp. I played along.

The thing is. It is actually not that hard to make 420 whp/wtq on a S4. Just an intake exhaust and tune and you are pretty much there. Rs4's stock put down 420hp flywheel, but those are a different story.

So I was at a gas station and parked by the pumps.
When I came out an older guy with an AMG Mercedes sedan was filling up and started talking some s**t. Him: "That thing turbo?" (in a self righteous tone) Me: "No" (explained the lack of turbo GC's in US) Him: "Oh, so I'd smoke ya on the backroads!" Me: "Ehh I don't know, you might have a hard time in the corners with your obese trophy car. And I drive a manual" Him: "Pshh, driving a manual is like wiping your own ass when you don't have to." Me: "Actually driving a manual is like me screwing your wife without the help of Viagra." He then became speechless, returned the nozzle, and drove away. Sorry bout that, Viagra man. I pulled up to a red light an there's a guy on the corner with a sign for a place going out of business and he's shouting,
"Turn here! Place is going out of business! Buy all our furniture! Turn here!" On and on. So I revved my motor at him. He stops for a moment, tries to shout about the business some more and he's like, "Man, I can't even talk now." I got a kick out of it. |

Had to give the same coworker a ride home tonight. Pulling away from a stop light:
Him: "Man this thing just sounds powerful" (100% serious) Me: Besides a few suspension and exterior modifications, my car is a stock Impreza L. 2.2L n/a, 13 year old engine, with rusting headers apparently sounds powerful. Non "car people" make me smile sometimes. Last edited by RavensFan7; 05-05-2013 at 12:51 AM. |

Speaking of NAPA, I went in asking if the had a cv axle cuz my boot tore. He looked at me with a big smirk and asked me, "Damn bro what have you been doing? Burnouts?" I said "nah, its kind of hard to do burnouts with AWD.". Then he said something about stop racing so hard. Thought it was funny cuz idk how a torn boot would relate to that.

I hear of these situations a lot. People take the "appreciate and enjoy what you have" scenario and take it to a whole different level to where it's just arrogance. "I have this 1992 Honda with this old exhaust I made in high school shop class and I think it sounds better than an F1 car honestly." |
