Haven't planned on selling a share before 2025. But things may have accelerated given the last few days. Hard to tell what's driving it. If doubt about future cash flows has completely evaporated, that could mean it goes up and stays up quite significantly.

The number of ppl who keep asking when the 3 row Model Y is coming out is staggering, and they seem to have no clue how there will be no usable legroom in any of the 3 rows if you try to fit humans of any normal size or legs into the back. Basically a miserable ride for all passengers

Some how this guys that has and had lots of Porsches (GT3 RS currently) and his channel is focused on detailing car finds the Model 3 Interior very nice and the car very well put together.

The 3rd row on a Model Y (and other crossovers in that segment) is like the back seat in a Mustang. If you want to put kids or pile some adults back there for a short trip (lunch time at work) then it's fine. If anything it's more useful on a Model Y than a Mustang because I believe the second row seats can slide forward to get better leg room for the 3rd row.

If Grandma and Grandpa come visit and you want to talk one car to the movie theatre 10 minutes away, you pile everybody into the 7 seat Model Y. It's not comfortable but it gets the job done.

Tesla has been ceding ground in Europe, with its Model 3 now only the fourth-best selling pure electric vehicle (EV) on the continent, according to recent statistics.

The European EV market is now the biggest in the world in terms of sales following a surge in 2020 accompanying a slump in China. The portion of new car registrations that are electric is twice that of China and five times that of the U.S.

In a note Wednesday, Saxo Bank Head of Equity Strategy Peter Garnry said Tesla's outpacing by Renault, Volkswagen and Hyundai in recent months should have shareholders "alarmed."

The Model 3 is expensive in Europe compared to other models offered there. Sales will increase when they localize production and cut the price, just like how orders went up in China.

Tesla sales are down in Europe and maybe you missed;

Tesla ships cars depending on their geographical allocation. When Berlin is up an running and capacity we will get a clear picture of how strong sells are.

Tesla doesn't need to be the top selling company to make a great product. You are on a Subaru board, they sell a tiny fraction of the cars that their competitors sell, yet we know they make a product that we prefer. In the end, that is all that matters.

The Zoe EV is cheaper and a lot smaller, which is preferred in Europe. It is also new. The hype for the Model 3 is less and the S/X sell poorly in general due to price and how old it is. Yet, the Model 3 still outsells everyone else.

This isn't a yoke.

On Wednesday, Tesla rolled out the new interior look for its refreshed Model S and X electric cars. Both feature a new steering wheel design and touchscreen layout.

Tesla is calling the new wheel a "stalkless steering yoke," meaning there's no stalk to press for the turn signal or to change drive modes. Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on his company's earnings call Wednesday that the new Model S will be available next month, starting at $79,990 for the most basic version - just $10,000 more than the old version. The revamped Model X will follow later in the year.

"It's a tremendous improvement over the prior version," Musk said about the Model S on the call.

Here's what the Model S steering wheel used to look like compared to the new yoke design, which many are calling "half a steering wheel."The redesign also changed up the Model S and X displays. There are now three screens with a completely different alignment for the front center screen. What used to be a vertical touchscreen is now a horizontal 17-inch screen. There's still a second screen behind the wheel, which Tesla removed in the Model 3 and Y.

A new 8-inch screen in the back of the Model S and X will let passengers play games or watch videos.

With the emphasis on screens made for entertainment and gaming, and a steering wheel that looks like a video game controller, the online response was predictably divided. Some either embraced the new look or couldn't stand it.

The Model S and X are Tesla's two original cars. But once the more budget-friendly Model 3 and Y were released in the past few years, sales slowed for the Tesla classics. During all of 2020 Tesla delivered 57,039 Model S and X vehicles combined, compared to a combined 442,511 cars for the Model 3 and Y.
The classic refresh includes other slight changes to the exterior, most noticeably the glass roof on the Model S.

The Model S also has a long-awaited variant available: a tri-motor Plaid+ version with more range and better performance. The top-of-the-line variant costs $139,990 but will come with a more than 520-mile range. (The "regular" Model S Plaid has a 390-mile range.) It's supposed to start being delivered to customers later in February.

During Wednesday's earnings call, Musk noted that the Model S and Model X both have Plaid versions (starting at $119,990) that are faster, but not as fast as the Plaid+. The Model S can go from 0 to 60 mph in under 2 seconds. Tesla claims that's the quickest acceleration "of any production car ever." The top speed is 200 mph.

I like the new interior, except the steering wheel yoke shape. The stalk-less design is interesting; I'd have to drive it to have an opinion. Apparently Tesla had a "hidden" pic with a normal wheel buried on their site.

I'm going to wait until I try it. My main issue is that I prefer to drive one handed at the 10-11 o'clock position, and that won't be possible. Also, I'm not sure about a lack of stalk for PRND shifting. I don't love push button style back up to the AI making an assumption about Drive/Reverse which might not always match the drivers intention. We will see.

Explain? All we have been shown is a screen with games, a screen with HVAC (same as Model 3/Model Y, which is very good) and a basic image of the car in the dash screen. How is the UI worse?

They got rid of even more physical controls (signal stalk and drive mode selector), and replaced the steering wheel with that knight rider inspired atrocity that only works if the rack ratio is 1:1.
