Default Recommend Tire size for 19x9.5 +45

Car is a 2021 STI, I have Advan RG3s 19x9.5 +45 on order, also ordered Eibach Pro lowering springs. What size tires would be recommended for this size wheel? Would a 245/35/19 be OK or should I go 255, 265? Car will be on these tires maybe 80% of the year, I have an all season setup for winter. Car is a daily

245/35 19's are OE tire size for the 2021 STi. You can run a 255/35 and it will only be about 1% over on circumference, meaning for every 10MPH of speed on the speedometer you'd actually be 0.1 MPH faster. So at 70MPH on the speedo you'd actually be going 70.7 MPH.

With 265s you'd be ~2% over with a 35 sidewall ratio and ~2% under with a 30 sidewall ratio. Still okay, but not ideal IMHO. I also think 265s are slightly too wide for 9.5" wheels.

Right now I have the oem yokohama advan tires , 245/35/19. You think these would be fine on the 9.5 wide wheels, or should my minimum be 255?

265/30R19.

265/30R19 is the right tire width for the wheel width, and it fits. 245/35R19 is too narrow for a 9.5" wheel. You could stretch it on there, but it's going to look weird (unless you like the stretched look) and it will expose the edge of the wheel to damage from road debris.

255/35R19 would be my second choice.

Thanks for the input. I listed my oem tires for sale. Less than 100 miles on them. Hoping they sell and I'll use the funds likely on 255/35/19s

Dan,

Do you have any sample pics of a 19x9.5 wheel running a 255/35-19?

Thanks!
