This turbo came with the used IAG rotated downpipe/uppipe i bought on here. Knew it was a poor match to engine but wanted to see how it'd do. Definitely some room for improvement esp w/ avcs tuning but will probably sell this turbo and change to gen 2 3071 .63 or similar that better suits my setup and goals.

Not bad power but like you said definitely room for improvement with some AVCS Tuning and other. Just curious why didn't the rev it out more. Even to 7500 would have made the graph look a lot better.

I had a similar setup but with a Bloush TS 2.5xtr and say full boost (20psi) around 4500 depending on gear.

For a fun street car I agree on stepping down to smaller turbo. I'd even look into the gtx28s or the old gt3071 should do well. Maybe look into a gen II gtx2867 KB seemed to really like that turbo

I agree that there is some response benefit to be had with the avcs tuning.

I had a FP green HTZ which is a journal bearing turbo that is larger than the 3076.

I also have a ej207 V8 motor. I would hit 24psi on a 3 gear pull (5 speed box) at around 5k

There were quite a few similar runs, this is only one I have printout of. Did run it to 7900 but power drops off drastically over 7k.

This is with AVCS map literally zero'd out. I had basic setup done and configured for the GM IAT, new MAP sensor, and WB and driveable on a basemap to get to the shop. By the time I got there, let car cool down enough to change plugs, get set up on the dyno, figure out some boost control issues and other random things that popped up, it was already evening. Justin @ Pro's started building up the maps and I was pleased to get to where we left it at.

May go back at some point to put more work in but also am happy just to be driving the car finally, even with it's tiny powerband, and will probably focus on choosing a different turbo.

This is what I've got (with a tial housing) to go onto my 207. In the middle of making a new uppipe now. Hopefully its a good combo, can't find much info on them yet...

Pretty solid set up. I just got a V7 207 and am running an almost identical set up to you. I will have AVCS wired tho. How does it feel on the street?

It's fun on the street, feels better than you'd expect from the graph

I'm sure. Once you get it spooled up and keep the rpm above 4500 I bet it moves.
