Hatch Patrol's XMas Tree Run 2014, 12/6
Saturday, December 6, Greenwater, Forest Road 70. We'll meet at Mikky D's in Enumclaw at 9:00 a.m. and leave at 9:30 in a group or in groups up Highway 410 to go play in the snow.
You have to have snow tires on your car to join us. It's a free country, but if you show up with street tires, you'll get stuck and just piss off the folks behind you that want to keep heading up the trail. This is a good family fun time. Leave your asshattery and bad attitude at home. Kids and friendly dogs welcome. Pics of previous runs below. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/...atch+%2Bpatrol

I'm guessing this trip isn't recommended for a 08 Sti hatch used as my dd is it...

Throw some snow tires on it, it should do fine.

It looks like a good time and I do plan to get snow tires soon.

I made a trip up there last year in my old Toyota pickup and a convoy of diesels. Awesome view from up top. I've been considering taking my 09 sti up there this year. It's got snow tires, but the ground clearance is what is worrying me. It's lowered on rce black springs which isn't much, but the ground clearance of these cars isn't much from the factory.

i went up last year in my 06 wrx with mach v springs, and didn't have any issues with ground clearance. But even with snow tires i didn't have enough traction to go the whole way.
