The 2019 Digest is up now.

And if anyone is ordering any commemorative shirts, there is only a few days left.

Do you order through JapanParts or directly through STi?

Didnt feel like making a new thread since no one posted here all year. Who else is watching this weekend? Pretty interesting so far, steady rain for most of the afternoon and now at night its crazy dark without any fans in the woods, a few drivers already said its weird. Im keeping an eye on the Glickenhaus team, new drivers, new car (and only 1 car) so far so good.

Yeh it was pretty tame this year, no fans, no crazy pits, no crazy passes, no crazy crashes even with the rain, which pretty much nuked 90% of the night driving which is 90% of the fun/challenge of it. Plus no subaru or manta....

So any word on the STI team even showing up for the race this year? Theres been no press release since January, they didnt show up for practice or qualifying a few weeks back, and theyre not currently showing up registered for next weekend...

They will not be. They posted back in March that they are skipping this year to focus on development of the 2022 car. I think it makes sense since the 2022 STi will be completely new, hopefully using the FA20DIT engine. Give it another year for the world to return to a bit more normalcy as well.

I think it was on their Instagram page. The last few months they seem to be posting more on social media. Auto prove.net usually is pretty informative and up to date with STi’s motorsports efforts, but I don’t believe they had any info regarding this either.

I've been following them on IG, pretty cool to see a clean sheet American entry. I'll be rooting for them as well!

From what i understand the current body STI and its drivetrain will be carried over one more model year while the new WRX is being sold, seeing as this is aimed at 2022 NBR24 i can only assume they will start development on a new chassis car next year sometime, that technically would have the FA24 but who knows, they have the tried and true EJ from the BRZ program thats been just about 100% reliable through its life.
