See now I would be surprised if they did offer it in AWD. I do fondly recall the days of the FWD Integra, Prelude, Celica, and Probe. But those days are long gone, so I would imagine that an AWD Integra would sell better of course.

As someone mentioned earlier Honda is stubborn AF, their heritage is FWD cars with driver engagement at its core. Highly unlikely SH-AWD will be offered in this car. Because if it did, then Acura TLX sales would suffer. The Civic platform offers a lot of interior space when compared to the behemoth TLX, the bang for buck for the Integra will be huge (entry level luxury) if offered with AWD.

The Civic is huge and weird looking. I really hope the new Integra is as different as the old one was from the Civic. But as strange as Honda's styling is, Acura is even more off-putting to me.

I would love to like Honda again, but it's been thirty years and I don't think they're going to back that far. VW's GTI really is going to end up as the default choice, isn't it?

It is a big car now. Only the hatchback isn't exceedingly long IMO.

ILX is the only Acura that doesn't offer AWD, iirc. If they're trying to boost entry level sales, it would be a good selling point, making the integra more than just an expensive Civic. Keep Honda as the FWD brand, Acura as AWD.

Then Double Wishbone suspension up front should be part of the Acura upgrade too!

Engine sounds good! Shifter looks good. I'm sure the shifting engagement will be on point. It'll be FWD, which pulls me out of line, but I still wanna see this thing on the road.

Yes, the hatchback is 5" shorter than the stretch limo-style sedan.

Yes, an all FWD integra lineup makes no sense cause now you have a huge lineup competing with itself:

hatch Civic touring 6mT/CVT
hatch Type R
hatch Integra 6mT/DCT
hatch Integra Type S

So SH-AWD is going to be in there somewhere.
