Oh no what happened with Christodoulou in the Merc? That hit didnt look too bad, who was in the Supra that turned in like that? Looks like something broke under the front left suspension or pickup point?

Looked like a hard hit from the replay, definitely broke a pickup point/mount etc.

BMW: Were getting our asses kicked, we gave you a sports car, help us out! Take out that Mercedes!
Toyota: Say no more.

P36 so far.. That's very good considering the cars they've been racing around and the times they are doing.

Those onwards from van Dam are something else! P30 right now, and doing similar times to some GT3's and GT4's ahead.

I can't believe it's not raining (or worse) this year. Seems like a nice day. Nice not having all those long safety car periods that have become common the last couple of years.

They postponed the race for 1 month to get better weather than last year.

I don't think the date this year is because of the weather. There is a big festival in the area that they plan this around. It's in May again next year.

Grats to the team, what a race and what an even better performance!!

Edit: Noted the STi finished 19th overall, that's immensely impressive - out of a 155 car field!

there is a rumor that, while racing, the race director has commanded Glickenhaus to slow down because they have been too fast...

Goodies are up on their japanese online store

And the STI gallery of the race is up as well

SUBARU WRX STI (Carlo Van Damme / Tim Schlick / Yamauchi) who participated in the SP3 T class from the SUBARU / STI team at the 47th Nürburgring 24-hour race held at Nürburgring, Germany from 20 to 23 June Hideki / Takuto Iguchi ran 145 laps (about 3,763 km) with 24 hours no trouble, and won the SP3 T class with 19th place in 160 outings.

The free practice on Thursday the 20th was interrupted by a sudden thunderstorm, and I was worried that unstable weather would continue, but it has not been rained since the official qualifying, especially the race from start to finish I was blessed with the weather. The temperature was a maximum of 25 degrees and at least 14 degrees warm, making it a 24-hour race that was kind to drivers, pit crews and race cars.

In the qualifying round, Yamauchi secured the class pole position with the best lap time of 9: 1: 872 on the 2nd on the 21st of Friday. The final race starts from the third row front row. Iguchi, the starting driver, calmly goes around. Afterward, WRX STI connected to Van Damm, Schlick, and Yamauchi, and showed good fuel efficiency in addition to speed, and implemented a strategy in which one person runs nine laps at night. We will expand the gap with our rivals. In the early stage of driving by Schlick, the car was hit by a GT3 car and flew off to the green, but it ran as it was because there was less damage. Other than this, there has never been contact or accident with other vehicles. At dawn, we carried out front brake pad replacement just in case, but returned to the course with minimal loss. Also, since 5 am just before the night falls, Van Damme continues to update the best lap in the race. We recorded 9 minutes 3 seconds 998. We proved to show speed even after repeating mileage.

With the temperature rising at the end of the race and the top-class vehicles experiencing troubles one after another on the track, the WRX STI made laps at a reasonably fast pace, and the final runner Van Damh, overall at 3:30 pm , Received the checkered flag at the top of the SP3T class. The No Trouble Perfect Race is the first since SUBARU / STI's first appearance in this race, and 145 laps of the total number of laps will be the team's most frequent record.

[Comment of General Manager Tsuji Eji STI]
"This year's car, reflecting on what went wrong last year, pursued its cause and crushed it one by one. Also, winning like a step on thin ice like last year It's nice to get it done, because I wanted to win immensely, and I'm happy to get ideas from the developers to make the car stronger, and the technology I've adopted from it takes a long time to check the reliability. It was impossible for suppliers such as silencers and wheels, but we prepared a perfect one.Nur 24 hours is once a year, but it is important how to spend the remaining 11 months I think that all the drivers were satisfied with this year's car, and the mechanics and engineers also worked to meet that trust. Sincerely grateful to the fans that had you sent the assistance. Thank you very much. "
