Post quick question to auto crossers...

Are you allowed to use racing seats in STC?

i did not see anything yes or no in the SCCA Rulebook...I think that means that you can...I dont see why not, as it doesnt make you handle better or faster.

Sorry guys, I've been out of town for a few days.

Chris, I've got the rules from last year for ST. I'm not sure if they've changed much, but I did find an answer to your question.

Per section C of "Allowed Modifications", #10 says, "Any fully padded and upholstered front seats with reclining seat backs."

I hope that helps you out. Sorry I didn't keep the Recaros out of the Civic. I'd have made you a sweet deal on them!

A fixed, one piece racing seat will kick you out of STS. A fixed 'reclining' racing seat is fully legal.

For example: http://www.rallispec.com/sparco_road.htm Sparco Milano and Torino seats

J.B.'s seats recline. I assumed that "fixed" meant one piece non-reclining.
