Definitely doing my roof w this stuff, but i wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing this stuff was on my hood or trunk. All other pieces sone real CF fabric and Epoxy resin/hardner can fix.

the 3m brand stuff isn't made to be removed, it pretty much destroy's everything it touches when its removed. The stuff that headlight armor uses is made for automotive/marine uses and can be removed. Granted that the 3m looks a little better, the HA stuff is easier to use. |

I like this stuff. My question for exterior stuff is how tough is it?? Or will it start peeling or chipping real easily.

I think if it gets rocks smacking it on the freeway you will end up with blemishes. But I saw on a video where they heat it up with a heat gun and stretch it over a sharp corner of a table without it tearing. I think its pretty durable.

I'd love to do my inner door handle trim with the stuff. The cheap silver coated plastic wear easy, but not too optimistic with covering the hole for the handle.

Really? It pulled the gloss finish off of the interior trim when I removed it. I then read that it isn't maid to be removed... maybe it was from a competitor, I don't remember.

Well, its adhesive so when youre applying it to something that was painted, if the paint-plastic/metal bond isnt as strong as the vinyl-paint bond, then yeah youre going to lose the finish.
On painted body panels, you really dont have to worry unless the paint was f'ed up/paint prep sucked. You cant just go peeling it cold, though. We heated it with a torch and heat gun and it came right off. A simple clay/polish/wax on the roof and you could never tell it had anythign on it. |

lol. It was no different than removing standard vinyl..I found it a lot easier than stripping the MySubie vinyl off my car.

Well, Ill be billed somewhere around $3000 for the 60"x100' roll of Di-Noc Carbon
Oracal 970RA Wrapping (Air Release) Matte Black is ~$500 for a 60"x75' roll. (Anyone who has half a clue what theyre doing will use this for wrapping) Oracal 651 Matte Black is $175 for a 48"x150' roll. (Oracal 651 is the industry standard for cut vinyl. It does work for wrapping, but its not fun) |

How much of it are you looking for? Smaller amounts are available on eBay, various sites on the web. MachV (FastWRX) here on NASIOC has the best prices IME for smaller stuff.
There are distributors who have 48"x50', 48"x100' and 48"x154' rolls. There is only 1 place to get it in 60" width. |
