Quick question for you guys. Does anyone know if brembo calipers from a 08-10 wrx will fit an 09 impreza? Rims clearing them won't be an issue for me.

WRX's have the same calipers as your Impreza, if you mean STI Brembo's then yes any year will fit and you'll need calipers, pads, rotors, misc hardware, and an adapter for the rear caliper.

I know! It made a nice dent in the end of the molding you can see. That door had some force behind it.

For those hatches who want a nameless exhaust, email them about your interest so they can see demand for a single exit wrx 2.5i exhaust

Yea, they're the only year with the correct bolt pattern.

So... I'm in need of some advice... more along the lines of me thinking out loud and looking for a voice of reason.

I have a 08 2.5i hatch Sportshift with nearly nothing done to the body yet. Switched out the front swaybar with RalliTek kit and added the RT rear kit too. Have more plans, but that's it right now.

Ran across a guy locally wanting to sell his 04 WRX... wait for it... AUTO sedan. Hold off on the trolling until you finish...

It's a good deal, hard to pass up.

BUT, I've got a 2 year old (car seat #1), wife that can only drive an auto and I've got another child on the way (car seat #2).

Two car seats in that sedan back seat and a strict AT?

The hatch and 08 design is awesome, IMO, and handy for traveling. Sportshift allowed me to control my shift (somewhat) and feel like a man driving ;-) Should I just wait until I can get a WRX project car and play around with my 2.5 until then? Or go for it now?

Yes, yes, personal preference... just curious on your thoughts and what you all would do.

I have a 3 month old and was debating buying a 07 or a '10 wrx but I decided to keep my '10 hatch. It's more roomy and cheaper to maintain, turbos=problems. Especially since my girlfriend can also only drive auto. It would be nice to have a WRX but family comes first, just my .02€

Yeah, the hatch is roomier. I just miss the power. The 2.5 just doesn't have what the rex can give.

And with all sexual jokes aside, she can drive a stick... Better than some ppl I know. Multitasking and safety is the issue. Lots of phone calls for work and micro-managing our little guy in the back seat, ya know?

Oh well... thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated.

I'll post pics of whatever route I take... If its the 2.5... I'll dress it up first.

Wow, didn't know that. So do you recommend just buying an 04 STi Brembo brake kit?

The fronts are identical from 04-14 with the exception of 04 rotors having a 5x100 bolt pattern. 08+ OEM Brembo rear brakes are a little different but you can find 5x100 or dual drilled 08+ Rotors.

Read this:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2259264

He says 08+ STI rear brakes but previous years will work with this adapter

Hey. Any of you lose the small splash guard that sits right in front of the rear wheels? It connects to the fender liner with 2 rivets.

I described this to multiple parts guys and they gave me this P/N: 59122FG040

When I look it up via Google/Image, the part doesn't look like it, unless the angle is wrong. I'm seeing it on SubaruGenuineParts and a few others for $13-$15 compared to the stealerships $54, thinking of just pulling the trigger.

Thanks!
