If you'll make clear coating on the carbon vinyl film it becomes simply dark grey without any texture.

You can , you just have to put a pearl in it. The pearl will retain the texture of the carbon with its flop. All the di-noc on the exterior of my Legacy it cleared with the pearl from the paint I used on the car.
Note the sparkle in the paint and in the di-noc. It looks really cool in person. Johann @ Girodisc |

Can we use this in the engine bay? I'd like to do my alternator cover but dont know if the under hood temps would mess it up. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Is this stuff able to be used to wrap the headliner after the fabric is removed and the area is prepped for it?

Yeah you can but I would use the cloth if I were you. You would have to do a really good job prepping it or the heat from the sun will eventually let it lift. Ask me how I know....
You can use Di-Noc in the engine bay and vision is right if you use to much heat it will level out and you will lose the affect. However unless you have it on or a couple inches from the turbo or exhaust is the only thing that's going to make that happen. I know a guy that wrapped his intercooler pipes with it and its still holding up. I'd like to do my cam covers. |

Thanks for the info guys. I think i'm just going to do my center console with this stuff for now. I was going to get a Sheet of 24"x36" that should cover a full 05 Center console right?

devin, if you wrap the center console, make sure you pick up some adhesive to spray on the back so it doesn't come up in the corners. I spent SO long wrapping my console with this stuff only to have the sun heat it up and the corners all bubbled up.

If you guys are going to use this stuff to wrap interior or whatever pieces can you at least make sure the "weave" is going in the same direction, especially on pieces where the weave meets up?

I did my fender badges 6 months ago, and they've help up perfectly. By the way.... I'll piggyback on what someone above wrote-- use some adhesive spray or adhesion promoter just for the extra assurance of stickage.
