Default Retuned throttle map = no cruise?

I remapped my throttle for a more gradual opening of the throttle as the pedal is pressed, so instead of 80% throttle at 50% pedal, it's 50% throttle at 50% pedal.

And now my cruise doesn't work at all.

If I set it at 55, the vehicle will slowly decelerate to 48 or so, then the CC disconnects and won't reconnect. D:

Does this mean I need to stick with either stock throttle mapping, or close to it, to retain my cruise, or is this a symptom of something else?

Vehicle is a 2005 Baja Turbo.

I highly doubt you'll find many people dabbling in cruise control tuning... but I wish you luck.

I don't care about tuning it, I care about how my throttle works.

Changing how the throttle pedal interacts with the throttle controller shouldn't effect the cruise control, since the cruise control just takes over control of the throttle position directly, but I'm not familiar with tuning DBW cars, so I'm trying to figure out if this is a problem with my tune, or something else...

Yes, it a problem with your tune. My tuner did a similar throttle map for me and my cruise control works like before.

The problem is that the cruise maps aren't all unlocked and available for viewing nor has the system been studied extensively. Chances are, you're hitting some kind of fail-safe based on your throttle table and no one is going to know what the exact details are about that fail-safe (except Subaru and maybe some of the smarter open source guys).

I was looking through my tune, and apparently I forgot to save the Requested Torque table before I flashed the map. Going to fix the table and flash again, and if it doesn't work, I'll put the stock DBW maps back in.

I fixed the map, and the cruise works just fine now.

Except, at a fairly consistent time, it just disconnects and refuses to work... I'm assuming that that is connected to the Fuel Trim hitting +15%... Which I hope to fix this weekend.

What did you do to 'fix the map'?

I set the Throttle Position map to a linear progression, and left the Requested Torque map stock. Which basically meant that at 70% pedal position, the throttle was at about 40% open.

I set both to a linear progression, and now the throttle acts like it's on the stock mapping, and when the cruise actually engages, it engages smoothly without losing or gaining speed (before it would engage, but it would gradually drop speed even on a flat until it just gave up and disconnected).

Tomorrow, I'm going to pull the #2 and 4 injectors, swap the injector currently in #2 to the position of #4, and put a hopefully good used injector into #2. And hopefully, this fixes the +15% fuel trim, and misfire on #4 at idle.

Well... I pulled the bad injector and swapped in a different injector.

Problem's solved, and the cruise worked for like 20 minutes, until I overboosted so hard that I threw a CEL. D:
