More Power Coming To The 2019 STI?

I wonder if the “stronger internals” described for the 2019 STi is a response to the EJ tendency for Ringland failures... thoughts(?)

I thought the stronger internals are for the RA. HP bump is rumored for 2019. Which my guess is sodium filled valves that carry over to non-RA . EVO last edition did the same

From what I have been reading, I believe the power levels for the 2019 model will be the same. It won't be until 2020 with the whole new redesign that we can expect a new engine.

2018 order timeframe closed yesterday. Has anyone heard anything new about 2019?

By new engine, is it assumed to be an upgraded version of the FA?

You must be new to Subaru. They are not in a hurry on anything. BUT, if we haven't heard anything by now, then that usually tells you there won't be much, if any, change.

And they haven't said either of that at all. Don't spread unknown rumors.

At 312HP it’s the fastest STI ever.

You forgot the removal of the turbo charger. With the newly NA configured EJ25 motor coupled with electrical assist and CVT producing a combined 312HP.
