It should have better driving manners than an ej205 with a big turbo. Its essentially a stage 2 setup with oem like power delivery and road manners. Here are a few pictures showing my JDM ej207 ver 8 with stock vf37 and stock pink injectors, a Walbro 255 fuel pump, Perrin turbo inlet, Hallman 3 port boost controller, stock equal length exhaust manifold and up pipe, Tomei catless down pipe and a Borla Hush catback. Enabled avcs, tuned st EFI Logics by STi Mikey. The pink injectors were a limiting factor as you can tell on the plot. I now have a ver 7 with a vf48, 2017 top mount intercooler, id850 injectors, Walbro 255 pump, Cobb 3 port boost controller, Perrin turbo inlet, Cobb up pipe, Cobb catted down pipe, Cobb catback, enabled avcs. It is e tuned, donít have a Dyno plot to show you. It feels very similar to what remember from the ver 8 but now I have the fueling to keep it safe above 7000rpm.

So far I put a dp and exhaust, 3 port boost controller, fuel pump, wideband, and new intake. Do you think it's worth upgrading the injectors for the stock turbo?

Also I have started the car, runs great, just need to get it tuned. My problem now is that I have a bad power steering leak coming from a hard line coming out of the rack.

I'm having trouble getting the line off with a wrench. I'm going to try cutting a notch in a 17mm socket this weekend to fit over the nut to get the line off. And it looks like if I can get the line off maybe I could weld the crack. If I cant take it off, looks like I'll need a whole new rack. I was planning on driving it today for the first time too

My experience with the stock pink injectors and VF37 was my tune would get too lean on top end. I now have a ver 7 with a VF48 and ID850 injectors and fuel is not a problem anywhere.

I'm working on getting it tuned now. It sounds nothing like my old wrx, exhaust doesn't have much of a rumble, sounds kinda farty not going to lie. And it is very loud. But loving the car so far.

Could i turn the boost up safely on this turbo while getting it tuned? I want to run a bit more power maybe 22 psi. I'm going to ask the tuner but just wondering on what you guys were running for psi on the vf37.

Yes, absolutely and if you have 93 octane in your area. The car will perform even better.

Finally got the car done and got it tuned on 93 by Eric at Torqued performance. It's a whole different beast then the last wrx i had with ej205. Love it. I would say the ej207 swap was worth it.

I think my setup was tuned to 19psi, the stock pink injectors were a limiting factor.
What exhaust are you using ? I had Borla Hush catback and Tomei down pipe, sounded awesome.

Tomoika DP and Invidia N1, not sure if its the race or street. I actually take back what I said though it sounds awesome when you open it up. Just different then my last setup. A lot less low end rumble and more of a higher midrange frequency.

I'm tuned to 21psi right now. Eventually going to go bigger turbo and injectors.
