In his defense, it is slightly smaller than the 04/05 STI hood scoop........

Hope this is still progressing since I love out of the norm builds. Did you ever get an he351ve going on it? Im currently using one on a dsm and made my own controller for, also doing compound with a roots supercharger. Anywho, show some updates!

still going strong after 2 years.

havent even changed the plugs yet.
i think i documented the tach in this thread or the other in 60degrev6. link is in my posts somewhere.

next issue is sourcing a push type release bearing that will fit on the sti/spec b 6 speed clutch fork and work with the clutch im using..
i need the release bearing seen here, but cant seem to source it:

I am super curious... Just started building an AVCS controller for the exhaust cams in my 05 LGT so I need a crank signal of some sort. And I'm too chicken to tap into the factory crank sensor. Been hoping to use an optical sensor and a dab of white paint on a cam pulley, but haven't tested that yet.

NSFW: sorry for the late reply...

what i did was buy the TinyIO board from JBperf. this talks to my ms3-pro via CAN.
the MS3-pro sends rpm data to the tinyIO board. the tinyio board then generates a fake crank and cam signal, which is then wired directly into the stock subaru PCM.
this allows the factory tach to work properly, as well as running the fuel pump (fuel pump turns on when crank signal detected).

The cam signal isnt the correct pattern yet, there are like 3 or 4 notches on the cam and it is only outputting one signal per revolution. But this works for now....

just working on getting parts for the turbo build, as well as testing out the MS3-pro ability to control the turbo through the CAN interface.
