Default Steering wheel/Rack question

When I did my swap I had to drop the rack. While it was out I installed the whiteline bushings and put it back up. Now my wheel is off by quite a bit and it's driving me nuts.

Question is can I just take the steering wheel off and move it or do I have to drop the rack again? It tracks straight but the wheel is off so I think the rack is in the right place. I'm figuring the steering wheel is just a circle so I can just move it but I want to be sure.

id drop the rack again, the wiring in the column could get very screwed up if u just move the wheel

when dropped my rack i was told to mark the splines on the steering shaft to make sure it goes back the same

I wasn't the one droping the rack, I was preping the engine so if it's off I have no idea where it's supoused to be. It's also possible that the WRX wheel I put on is off.

Besides the turn signal cancel what other wires do i have to worry about? ABS is no longer there.

Wait wait wait!!

You don't have to remove the steering wheel or drop the rack again. There is a knuckle that attaches the steering column to the rack. You can disconnect this, center your steering wheel, then reattach it.

Try your best to center your wheels on some flat ground. Note how far off the steering wheel is. Undo the two 12mm bolts and slide the knuckle all the way up on the column. The steering wheel should center itself; if it doesn't have somebody center it. Now slide the knuckle back onto the input splines on the rack, secure it into place, and you are done. This can all be done from the engine bay on the driver's side.

Thank you sir.

I was looking at that when I had the IC off last night. I thought it was possible but I didn't think I would get the universal to move enough up the shaft. I'll give it a go tonight after work.

i think the wires that could be a problem would be the air bag ones...
