Hey this may be a stupid question but just got my sti trans in and i was wondering you know how you have to pull the lever up to engage reverse, do I also need to pull it up or would it be a good idea to pull it up when popping it into neutral? It goes in neutral with or with out me doing it but didn't know if it is a good idea to pull it up when doing so?

Pencils - Sounds pretty awesome, I need me some two step on my car haha! gunna try and have them put it in when I go in for a retune sometime next year. Only complaint is I really don't like how it looks sticking so far out form the bumper but I guess it is kind of functional I imagine this avoids you burning the **** out of your rear bumper, probably also helps with cabin drone since it isn't right under the car and sticks out a good foot or so.

Hey guys... so I've been doing a lot of thinking as of late about my car and our future together. I think it may be time to move on. I know I change my mind frequently, but this has been at the forefront for quite some time...

Basically I put pen to paper and realized how much I've spent on it, how much more I have to spend on it, how much more I'll need to spend on it, and came to the conclusion that I'm not doing myself any favors.

As of right now I'd like to sell her as a whole for someone else to take to the next level, but will be parting out if there is no "whole car" interest and/or there is significant interest in parts. I will need to see what I can get before I commit to selling 100%, but if my minimum is met (it aint high) then tear down will start.

LMK - I'll be putting up part out/for sale threads on here/NES/Craigslist in the coming weeks. </3

For reference:

sticking out is mainly for style. it's not everyone cup of coffee but i enjoy it (sometimes burning my own leg, forgetting it's there sometimes lol)
it does help with the drone not inside the car and no more exhaust soot sticking to the bumper.

you dont need to pull the lever to put it back in neutral... its just there as a safety feature so you dont accidentally throw it into reverse when trying to go into 6th

No.. its a trunk.

If you want to have sex with a trunk there are hotlines and support groups available. Please stop the assault on defenseless trunks today.

(I think I have officially gotten old and grumpy, dang kids)

His entire trunk has been shaved (no key hole) so probably been resprayed. I'm sure a good buff would take off anymore ghosting.

Yeah well it is your car so at the end of the day do what you like, thats how I am with my car, but at least there is also some functionality beyond just the look. Sounds good though!

I painted the trunk after I shaved the key hole. But you should be able to wet sand buff and compound it put
