OMGHi2U STI Conversion To Different Platform

Ok to give some background about me. I have a 02 wrx that Is my daily driver but I have never done any mods to it. I am currently driving a honda s2000 and I have built It to 603hp. My problem is the trans on these cars will not handle very much abuse at these levels. Now before anybody starts bashing my thread I am by know means an expert on subarus or how they are setup. I am just looking for expert technical advice on If It would be possible to make an adapter plate to mate a sti trans to a s2000. once again I am not looking for a rival bashing session on how honda sucks I am a car enthusiast. I am a fan of all makes that perform. I currently own a 02 wrx, 03 350z and a honda s2000. All info is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The STi trans is AWD. While I'm not an expert on the matter, I think you'd be MUCH better off trying to adapt a RWD trans to the s2000. Even if you could get an STi trans in there, it's not built to push all of the power to the driveshaft, you'd blow the center diff in no time. Even welded up I imagine your torque limit would be half of what you'd get on an AWD platform with that trans.

I think you're much better off looking elsewhere, though I don't know where (again, not an expert here). Maybe look into what the s14 guys are doing in their high horsepower sr20 builds?

There are cheaper options, are you just looking for a project? Because if you are, you know as well as I do that with the right fabbing you can do anything. You already tried a dogbox? Unless you're worried about housing failure at your power level.

Easiest option, their race platform is 800whp.

Thats what Im looking for a cheaper option. FullBlown offers a adapter kit to put a v160 into the s2000 but the price plus availability makes it a hard option to chose.

This is the same as ppg gears. They are not great for daily driving plus the next weak link is the trans casing itself.

i know for a fact that there are a few companies out there that make bell housings that will mate the t56 to a few different motors

the t56 is pretty much out of any chevy muscle car it has been proven to be extremely strong in high hp applications

i was just stating a Camaro as an example

i also know that one person near me has a built motor s2k with a gt4202 and it made about 850 whp and hes running a v160 out of a supra and i believe that hes also using the supra rear
