It really is amazing. There is ZERO drone(with a j pipe!). It actually drones less than the factory SPT exhaust.
It has a nice tone and certainty gets louder as you go WOT but normal driving it's not loud at all. My biggest criticism is the slip joints - I'm not a fan at all and considered having a muffler shop weld it all together permanently.

Need some help if any of you had experiences with these. I want the quietest possible 3" exhaust. Looking for quad tip/burnt blue. I currently have a MXP catless dp with MXP catback. Came with the car.

Before anyone says, invidia-that's a no, I do not like invidia. Before any else say, stay stock on a catback, also no. Don't like the idea of choking down the exhaust until the end since I'm going from a cobb 20g to a BCP X500+ to see if I can get more power, looking for 450-550 on a dynojet and I dont like the idea of a stock catback on it.

Thought of a Milltek like I had on my WRX hatch but being $2k for a 2015 model and not burnt blue tips, I passed on that.

I am getting a HKS dual resonated catless DP to help cut all drone and some noise. And I found two that may be what I get:

First is the HKS Super Turbo: http://www.kamispeed.com/HKS-Super-T...1029-af013.htm

Or Blitz NUR Spec C-Ti: https://www.subispeed.com/2015-subar...i#.WozcbOjwZPY

I know that the Blitz use to be super loud but now with Japan in 2010 forcing out noise regulations, most exhaust are quieter for that reason from Japan. Nothing wrong with loud other than I extremely dislike loud and my music is already loud and I can still hear the exhaust. I mean like volume at 30 loud. Quieter exhaust means i can turn down the volume of my music.

Just to be clear - we're referring to the Corsa correct? Not the R400.

Absolutely. We are talking about Corsa.

I have been eyeing the R400 titanium just for weight reduction, but not knowing how it is going to sound (Db level), I am hesitant to get rid of my Corsa.

I recently grabbed a Remark axleback muffler delete version 2 polished tips. Good price point at ~$300 or less, depending on vendor. I ordered from Remark for the returnable guarantee they offer, that most vendors do not. Nice quality construction, good welds, one tip was a bit dull, with a spek of rust, I'm sure it will clean up! As expected it is louder! I hear a bit of drone in 4th gear around 40-45 mph, but it's not terrible. I did test it on the highway around 65-75 mph in 6th gear and there was some drone, again not terrible. I doesn't sound like a fart can either. As far as for the neighbors, it still isn't as loud as the dodge ram v8 next door, or the absurdly loud mustang gt down the block.
No flat brim hats or vape pens were harmed in testing this part.

No rattle here, glad because it took nearly all I had to stretch the springs onto the hooks.

Pretty sure others have bent the hooks to tighten up on the springs...

I have experience with both Corsa and R400. They are both very good sounding exhaust.

Corsa of course doesn't drone. In fact I'll say it's only slightly louder in cabin. People outside can hear it better and it has a smooth and unique sound. The downside is that I am not a fan of slip joints. The exhaust to me went out of alignment after a few drives that I had to take it to a shop to get them spot weld.

The R400 is the one currently on my car. You won't be disappointed with the deeper refine sound. It pops a bit on normal driving if that's also your thing. It's louder then Corsa but I wouldn't say too loud. You can hear the exhaust note better in cabin. However if you drive over 2500 rpm there will be some droning. This is considering the factory j pipe.

If it was up to me the WRX is better with R400 while the STi is better with the Corsa in sound preference. But if you run an aftermarket J-Pipe on a WRX, stick with Corsa if you don't want to run into an exhaust that might become too loud for your taste.

^^^ I am on aftermarket jpipe and header. My Corsa is working quite well.

My slip joints came loose after a few hundred miles and I had them tightened up almost 2 years ago and still holding up fine.

My only gripe is scraping the resonator. Hesitant on getting the Ti r400 not knowing the clearance.

I switched from a Invidia Q300 Cat-back (stock J-pipe), to a Corsa and it is amazing.

Intentions:
Quiet exhaust with some extra noise when getting into it. Also, want something that will not be too obnoxious when I decide to jump to stage2.

Results:
I thought Q300 was the ticket after watching YouTube videos but the Q300 ended up sounding quieter than stock, but had more drone. Looked cool, but performed not so much.

The Corsa on the other hand, fit great, looks perfect & sounds exceptional when stepping on it, but has no more drone or bass than OEM. It snaps crackles and pops, but it sounds unique while doing so. Also with the resonator and muffler technology that they engineered, I have no worries that it will be too loud when going stage2. Plus itís a TRUE 3Ē cat-back.

I would recommend the Corsa exhaust if you donít want to wake the neighbors, but want to have the sexy sound on tap when hooning around on your commute.

Default Tomei

So. Iíve installed the Tomei Expreme Ti on my 2018 sti. HOLY MOLY the deep and loud rumble is absolutely monstrous. Sounds so mean! NO rasp at all. (Stock down pipe). One thing, Iím honestly surprised how the exhaust doesnít get really that much louder at high rpmís. It certainly is very loud but it seems to almost mellow out (a tad) when you floor it past 5k. Granted this is the perspective inside the cabin. My friend drove it so I could hear it from the outside. Yeah.....itís loud. Suuuuuper deep. Suuuuuuper rumbly. I loves this exhaust. The fitment is tight right by the rear differential though. But Iím in love with the car all over again.

Wait till you get a down pipe. You will really love it then.

bringing this back for a quick question.....

I've been doing some research, and I want to get something not too loud, but also not too quiet. I was looking at the ETS quiet, and the Injen exhausts. Open to suggestions, I have a stock 2018 wrx. Another question, will these 3 inch exhausts fit to the stock downpipe easily? or will I have to get the adapter

I think the Invidia R400 might be what you're after. Most cat-backs will need an adapter but I don't know for sure on the Invidia systems.

Mishimoto has a good catback as well but likely a few ticks quieter than the R400.

I'm going to do some more research. It would be between invidia r400, ets quiet. Injen I think would be too loud
