this picture was posted on a local subaru club's facebook page.

Dealers here in canada have actually been able to put in orders(without pricing) for 2018's since the end of February.

How is the paint on these cars? I hear they aren't the best and are very susceptible to ricks/chips. Is it okay to take them to a car wash? sometimes I need my car cleaned but don't have time to hand wash it myself or anything.

Loving everything about this but the plastic "where the fogs should be" things make me cringe. What were they thinking?? I'll be interested to see what the aftermarket comes up with to replace those hideous things.

Agreed.... Pardon the dumb question but why do WRXs have turn signals mounted there but STIs don't?

I don't think this is a dumb question at all. I've wondered this myself...

I don't think this is a dumb question, because I've not even noticed the difference.

STI has it in the actual headlight now, while the WRX use a cheaper headlight

Got it
I'll do it soon.

Yes, it's thin and fragile.
All paints are now fragile since they're water base.

The best advice is to put the 3M new kind of protective skin or something... to avoid sand blasting your bumper

If you babied your car, for sure you always want to avoid car wash, except sometimes the contact less ones if you really need to.

Do you mean it's the C-Light that acts as turn signals?

like in this vid:

The turn signal is where the highbeam used to be on the previous models. My guess is the STI headlights are now bi-LED.

I'm pretty sure that after market.

BTW, I just received this, moments ago, form SOA.

"To All Ambassadors:

An article in the April edition of the Subaru Ambassador Journal claimed that the 2018 WRX was available for pre-order at local dealers. Subaru Ambassador HQ incorrectly stated that these pre-orders were available now, unfortunately vehicles are not available to order yet.

We apologize for any inconvenience regarding this misinformation.*

Thanks!

So the High/low beam will dim?
I think Audi or MB (or both) do something like that.

Yes, of course it's aftermarket.

But it would have been pretty cool if Subaru had chosen this way to do.

I haven't even thought about the turn signal looking at the shots from the original press release in Jan.

Interestingly enough, that shot does look different then what we've seen before.

I think you're right based on the pics. Any idea if the WRX Limited headlights are bi-LED? I was under the impression there were only 2 types of headlights, halogen and LED.

The front end looks awesome but that big plastic piece where the fogs were just looks ridiculous.
