Yeah i had the 14lb one and i didnt have the crank pulley. There was nothing wrong with it but It made the car harder to drive in traffic. You have to slip the clutch on hills to get it going. Also, it chattered like crazy.

If it was a track or weekend car, then the flywheel would have been great.

Which clutch did you have? Would the fact that the light weight flywheel "chattered like crazy" have anything to do with the type of clutch being used? In other words, could the chattering be worse with this flywheel depending on the clutch it was paired up with?

I've been thinking that I might like to try a light weight flywheel when it comes time to replace the clutch in my GF8 (which I also autocross), so I appreciate your feedback.

Lowering my '07 Legacy.

Even though it was a very modest drop with the aim of 'improving' handling, it ruined the character of the car and made dailying uncomfortable. Used H&R lowering springs married to the Koni yellow dampers they were designed in tandem with, and read all about the combo for months before pulling the trigger. Reverted to stock springs but kept the dampers not even 3 years later. I knew from the beginning the car was underdamped from the factory but had a great chassis, yet I wanted to go all the way. Life lesson: when you have a capable chassis you don't need hard suspension.

I had a ACT heavy duty clutch paired with the ACT Streetlite. I dont believe it had anything to do with the clutch because it would chatter during deceleration when you let off the throttle and the clutch was fully engaged. Flywheel chatter is pretty common with light weight flywheels.

The lightweight flywheel was awesome for autocross or spirited back road driving. It just sucked for DD purposes.

Everything was installed by a reputable Subaru shop Mach V motorsports.

I eventually put a stock flywheel back in and im happy.

Buying the sunroof wind guard. If you ever decide to remove it, it will have left many abrasions in the paint from the rubber rubbing up against it. Also my reason for removing it was parking underneath a berry tree that when it rained dumped a pie's worth of berries on my roof. I didn't think about how acidic berries were and didn't immediately clean it up. They ate into the clearcoat in a few spots. Never had that happen once in my 24+years of driving. Lesson learned.

I had that exact choice and wanted the blue, but they only had three. Got the limited Ed. Bronze. Glad it worked out that way. The bronze is classic subaru toned down a bit.

I experience regret for tinting my front windows to 5% but only at night. Its really only driven during the day time so I rarely drive it at night. I love having them tinted when I want to take a nap in my car or sit in the parking lot at work and watch netflix on my phone. Also appreciate the tint when I pull up to someone in a un-tastefully modified car who wants to have a staring contest

Trading in my 2013 3.6R (should have just put a new motor in it)

Going past Stage 2 and factory 6-speed in my 2015 WRX (could have traded it in had a LOT more car)

Thanks again for your response(s). I'll keep your experience in mind if I decide to try a light weight flywheel.

selling my 00 RS. It was 4 years old and I was second owner. Had it for a long time. Had to pay tuition, but that led to a MA degree and now I have a job that allows me to afford the STI without burden. I may have been happier at McDonalds with my 00 RS,.... maybe... lol

If you can call getting what I wanted a regret, then I regret buying a black one.

I only would've bought a black one, to me it looks best in black and I love it, but I'm a little tired of being so paranoid about it getting any flaws.

Reminds me of a car I had painted years ago. Afterwards all I did was worry about it!

I had this exact same combo on my old car. Same issue! Never making that mistake again.

When I go to SuperStore or Home Depot or wherever, I usually park as far away from the store entrance as possible. Lots more empty parking spaces, and I get some walking in as well. Win-win!

Aside from the ACT clutch, selling it.

However, I can't say I'm not enjoying the interior of the F150 Lariat..
