Default carchip datalogging/code reader/code clearer

has anyone had any experience with this? http://www.davisnet.com/drive/produc...asp?pnum=08221

i'm thinking of ditcihng my old scantool and selling it to get this instead, seems more useful information can be gotten from this. anyone chime in,

The Car Chip is not real-time, you have to remove it from the car and plug it into your PC to retrieve the data. It also doesn't see any more parameters than any other full-function generic scan tool, the OBDII protocol is the limiting factor there. If you have a scanner that does real-time data monitoring you should already be able to see all the ECU items available with OBDII.
