do I need LSD in Drag car?
hello. Please people that has expirience in drag racing help me decide.
I have dogbox, wrx 5spd. strong driveshafts, axles etc. I have stock rear lsd and stock open front dif and middle one. The diffs are expensive. apx 1k each. Do I need to install them and which ones would you recomend brand wise and front/rear/middle for the car that only used in drag racing and sometimes driven to the events on the streets? I mean does it worth the investment? or it will not make that big of a difference on slicks? Car is going to be more then 600++ whp and NOS and will be runing 16" hoosiers or mickey tompsons. The second question is which tires hoosiers or MT would you recomend me and what size? Thank you! Andrey.

Are you spinning tires a whole lot? I don't think it matters if you aren't.

for a drag car wouldnt you want the wheels to be locked? ie weld the rear lsd? if it is a drag car, and drag car only i think i would want it 100% locked.

You have a dogbox and you are complaining about how much LSD's cost? What kind of dogbox do you have? Running a dogbox with stock open diffs is kind of like running a giant front mount intercooler with a stock turbo and exhaust, what's the point? You are not taking full advantage of the equipment. If you are truly going to be running 600 plus whp then you will definitely need the LSDs. Otherwise you will get wheelspin.
