the worst is when they preface a berating with "nice bike!" like that makes me want to hear about how they think my stock-muffler'd 250cc bike is too loud

i'm referring to folks who have both a car and a bike, willingly choose to ride in the cold, then bitch about how cold they are.

I get this sort of thing all of the time when I go duck hunting in 20 degrees, wind, and snow/rain. Hello retard, in case you didn't notice I'm covered in head to toe in wool and Gore-tex.

I enjoy my frosty nuts on my bike in the morning. Blue Gold Bond on top of that for an extra chilly feeling.

to which you reply "Then don't be one of those idiots and tailgate a motorcyclist in bad weather/visibility because you're late bringing your kids to school because I will not hesitate to go slow and be an ******* then flip you off in front of your children."

It makes no sense. I know it's common, but that doesn't make it any less stupid. It's 'couldn't care less'. 'Could care less' means you care at least a little bit.

Join me in my campaign to abolish this stupid saying!
What if someone really could care less, and they are just letting you know that? Huh? What then? That's what I thought.

oh yeah... this last thursday's 28 degree sleet snow crap was peachy keen.

i really enjoy the confused looks i get walking around in ****ty weather with my helmet.

this one guy i see daily has become convinced i only ride in bad weather, because when it's nice out the helmet gets locked to teh bike.

If it matches the context of the conversation and the sentence, fine. But when you know they mean "couldn't" and they say "could" you should be legally allowed to punch them in the stupid face.

I agree with the OP. I love riding my bike but would never ride it when its cold. Not that hardcore of a fan to put up with it without bitching.

eh, with a good jacket, heated grips, barkbusters, waterproof boots and warm pants, you really can ride somewhat comfortably down to around 20f.

the only problem is you walk like the tin man off the bike

^ the coldest I care to ride in is 40f. And it's really not that bad with a good jacket and neck covering. I love being cold though, and wouldn't complain about it (unless I was cold + wet... cold and wet sucks). And yes you do walk like a tin-man muscle-builder

This may approach the "Annoying **** co-workers say to you" thread.
