Default Two questions relating to heated mirrors and heated seats

I searched for both of these already but couldn't find either..

1. I have OEM heated seats in my 04 WRX (Cold weather package). The passenger one heats up almost immediately and is definitely noticeable to the passenger or to my hand when feeling the back or ass part..
But when I turn my driver's seat one to low or high power, I never seem to feel the heat, AKA I don't think it's working, lol.
After a quick look under the seat, it seems like all plugs and harnesses are connected. Also, the button lights up when on either option.
What else can I check to figure this out??? I don't think they have their own fuses or anything. Sucks that it doesn't work.

2. My driver's side heated/power mirror is cracked (glass and plastic housing), so I need a replacement. Will an 04-05 WRX non-heated power mirror also have whatever harness/connection that is needed to connect them for heating since my car obviously has the wiring already? Or do heated mirrors have something specific to them connection-wise that a non-heated one won't?

If the mirrors aren't interchangeable, where can I get a heated replacement? I never see heated ones up for sale used here..
Dealer? Cause SubaruGenuineParts doesn't have them..

I won't claim to know but i am pretty sure you can not just throw any old unit on, and it has to be a heated one because it would have the connections. I did some quick searching for you and came up with this http://www.performancemarket.com/cat...ement&s=1&my=1 check around the site some more but you might find what you are after.

Now as for the seats, I am not sure if your's are like mine but they have zippers if all the wiring looks fine, and the light turns on the fuse wouldn't be blown, or the light wouldn't turn on. But with the zipper try to get to where the heating unit is. Turn it on and see if it does heat up or not. The 2 types of heating the seats do are normal and rapid, that big symbol is the rapid heating and the little is the normal, i would say throw the rapid on and see if you feel it getting hot. And check to see if anything is lose in there or maybe damaged, I do not know about the seats or mirror but these are both educated guess's. Good luck

Thanks for your input. When I get a chance I will unzip the seat to check.

Anyone else know either of these for sure?

I would recommend staying with the heated... i had to replace the mirror on mine... that mirror alone ran me $100 from the dealer!!!!

Lol that site is my avenue for everything as well. I think he was saying that 100 was a lot to pay just for the glass.

haha I just called my local dealer asking about it and they don't have any at all, and if they do they are not painted. So I'd rather keep checking here or maybe checking out a junk yard.

I wish I knew if the heating parts and wiring are easy or not to transfer over to a non-heated mirror (or possible at all). Then I could just buy a non-heated mirror. ANYONE KNOW?

This bites..

Best bet is to go into a dealer and talk to the parts guys. They will likely know if you can transfer the parts, or at least be able to pull up the schematics
