I'm looking to do a new exhaust on my 2006 2.5i.

Probably an N1 style catback. Of course, I could just source a muffler, and have a local shop just build the rest of the exhaust.

So I went with the Spec-D Tuning N1 style catback exhaust, which was made for the same year WRX/STI. I just cut off the flange on the resonator pipe, and the cat pipe. They're married, currently, with reducer pipe and exhaust clamps. Sounds good, no noticeable power loss. It's loud as all get out though. Sounds good, breaking it in. Nice little pops and crackles.

I've also got a 2.5rs UEL exhaust manifold, and cat pipe coming. So after I get all that stuff situated, I'm going to take it to be welded.

Finally got dyno numbers after installing rallisport uel headers and a tsudo catback on my 09 2.5i. I was expecting loss of hp and torque like the internet said, i was blown away by the results to say the least. (Dotted line was 2 years ago when i was stock).

I want to make my exhaust louder on my 2010 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Hatchback. I've been talking to several people and for my budget it seems like the best idea is to start with a simple muffler delete, but I'm afraid that it's going to sound pretty bad. I have a friend who has a 2.0i a few years older than mine who deleted the muffler and replaced the resonator with a high-flow resonator. His sounds great, but might be a bit too loud for me.

I found this resonator and I found this muffler. Should I just stick to a muffler delete for now and see what I think? Or should I do a muffler replacement with the muffler I listed and keep the stock resonator? Should I delete the muffler and replace the resonator? Should I replace both? Or how should I approach this situation?

Outback Sport New site for UEL Headers!!

Everybody wants their N/A subie to have that iconic rumble right? No one wants to pay $600+ just for headers though. Last week I ordered some UEL headers from who would've guessed... Rock Auto! The brand for them is Bosal and they have a 2 year warranty with them. They arrived yesterday and I instantly went to put them on. They went on my 2011 Impreza Outback Sport. The build quality is up to what I expected and the sound is phenomenal I absolutely love them! The best part is they're only $305!

Here's the link to the ones for a 2010: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...converter,5808

Do those bolt right up? No modifications needed?

They bolted up just as if they were OEM. I've been running them a week now with no issues driving with my windows down no music just to listen. I have a buddy with an STI that was catching up to me and then keeping his car quite just so he could hear mine. He was jealous of a non turbo!

Yours would sound better due to the 4-2-1 collector, as opposed to factory turbo headers which is basically 2-1 manifold.

The rumble is a result of the exhaust/sound pulses meeting in the main collector at unequal distances between each other.

There is some proven power difference between equal length and unequal length headers, on turbo models at least. EL headers help the turbo spool smoother and sooner as well as reduce the heat strain on Cylinder 4, which has been known to cause ringland failure. Hopefully this won't be much of an issue with NA since you'll be running much less power, and therefore less heat, than most of us forced induction guys.

I have a 2011 Impreza Outback Sport and bought stock 2008 WRX headers. I know the flanges won't bolt right up but what specifically has to be done to everything? Will I need a tune? O2 sensor mods?

Is your system catted? What are you running after the header?

Just bought invidia catback from rallisport. Had 10% off. Still researching a header / catalytic converter setup that will work for New York State inspection.

Exhaust - Ebay UEL - Stock Cats/Resonator, Muffler Replaced With 8 Inch (3 Inch In/Out) "Cherrybomb)

No "WOW it made a good difference feel", but im ok with that.

car is a DD and used on RallyX, also a possible home? you can race a car but not a house

Likes- Sounds Neat.
Cons - Car Still Slow, Gained Exhaust Drone, Even when i had a normal "performance" muffler it was bad.
