Default Brembo Ceramic Brake Pads

Just installed these on my 2011 WRX hatchback.

I decided to switch out my year old Hawk HPS Street pads after the noise, dust, and weak pedal feel started to drive my crazy. I wanted Akebono ceramics since this is a daily driver, but went with these cause this is the nicest brake pad that Autozone sells, and I had a gift card.

According to the internet, these are expensive (which they are) and not the “best” but this is certainly my favorite brake pad I’ve ever had on this car. They are smooth, they have fantastic stopping power, strong pedal feel, and they are low dust.

My only complaint is the red shims. If you have sliding caliper brakes, this will be an issue. I personally like the look because my hatch is C7P lightning red so it matches, but it wouldn’t look good on any other color car really. This will not be an issue if you have fixed calipers.

That being said, these are a big upgrade in terms of ride, noise, pedal feel, and dust over the Hawks, and noticeably more powerful than the stock pad. The Hawks probably stop about the same as these.

These Brembos are without a doubt worth the $200.

I need new pads for my 2012 Impreza Limited. How are you still liking the Brembos now that they have worn in a bit?

Also I see them on Rockauto for $44.79, for those without Autozone gift cards.

I have ran both these and the project Mu B force for my 18 Sti and I enjoyed the project Mu slightly more. The brembos got dusty on me
