My sti used to have clear bra. Many people thought it was teh cool, and did prevent all the minor chips. I think those old school bras can do more harm then good...

Also I don't like the idea of using something to protect the looks of your car, but makes it ugly and cheesy at the same time.

I think it depends what he is using it for. If for protection, it might be a waste because as dirt gets trapped under the bra, the wind flapping against it makes for a nice sand job on your paint.

If for some experiment trying to break 88 MPH and then traveling through time, then find this man a bra.

let me know if you find anywhere that has them, I can't find one anywhere for my 06. All anyone ever says to me when I ask is to get the clear bra crap. I work with vinyl for a living and would never put that crap on my car. Especially if it's caleneder vinyl. Most people use calendered vinyl which basically starts out as a big ball of pvc and some other ingredients and is rolled out into a big sheet. These are often labeled as intermediate vinyls... the problem with them is because they are rolled into sheets from balls they tend to shrink. Leaving gooey adhesive all over your vehicle. Now sure the adhesive can be cleaned off but with the shrinking comes discoloration. In a few years that clear vinyl will turn yellow, and well often become brittle and start to curl around the edges.

But ofcourse theres an exception to the rule, cast vinyls will not shrink (they will but not nearly as noticeable as the calendered stuff) as a result they will not crack or peel at the edges. Discoloration is still a factor although it's minimal at worst.

I remember that soa quit selling them for wrx's early on in 02 because they blocked flow to the tmic and caused problems. Because of this the only one you would find would be listed for a 2.5i. If you are running a front mount I guess it would be ok. FYI - you might need to grow a mullet and buy a pair of oakly blades for it to fit correctly though.
