how to tell if there is knock using AP?
Hey guys last night I went to fill my gas tank. But I was being a dumbass and spacing out and started putting I'm 85 into my sti which is ots stage 2 ap. Well by the time I realized it there was already 10 gallons in it. I then filled it up with 4 gallons of 91. Right now I'm just babying the car, shifting before 3000 rpm and riding intelligent mode.
Now I have an AP, is there anyway I can check knock on the car using live data logger? Thanks

Maybe a better option would be to buy a $5 pump, a $10 gas tank, and get to work. :-\

I wouldnt risk it. Why make one mistake, then make another? One bad knock can damage your engine, but by then its too late. Just find somebody that needs a fill up and drain yours out. A 60 dollar mistake doesnt have to cost thousands.

Look at dynamic advance multiplier, feedback knock correction, and fine learning knock correction. DAM you want to be 1, the others zero.

I'd either:
A: drive out of boost until you have refilled the tank with the correct octane or B: empty the tank of gas and refill with correct octane These car's can be driven on 87 octane gas, but the potential for a knock event under boost is much greater. |

Thx guys. Someone told me to put about 2 - 3 gallons of e85 in it and it should help with the octane. Can someone please confirm this?

plug in your ap and put it on the feedback knock and just keep an eye on it while your driving around. that way you can see if anything is going on.

feedback knock correction is just one of the three methods of knock correction on the ECU. It won't tell you the whole story by itself.
