car at dealer over a month still not fixed
Let me start off by saying that this is a shame that I should be write this email to subaru. I bought my car a little over a year go at Lynes Nissan Subaru dealership at 315 Bloomfield Ave Bloomfield, NJ. I had been very happy with my 2002 subaru impreza wrx I bought it write off the lot with about 3 miles on it. except for a power steering pump that went bad I had no complaints what's so ever I routinely got the car serviced where I bought and the oil was always changes by an authorized Subaru dealer. The problem all started on 12/9/03. I got caught in a snow storm that hit NJ hard. Over a foot if I recall came down in my area. As I drove the car home I hear a loud pop and then clank sound so I drove the car home put it in my garage and immediately called the dealer to make an appointment to figure out at the time what was making the loud clanking underneath my car. So I drive the car to the dealer they tell my the clank is coming from inside the engine and that the engine would be needed to be teared down to find out what was wrong but because I had an aftermarket exhaust they had to call subaru of north America to ok. they called and they got on ok on wed and told me to drop the car of on Fri. I had the car towed their on 12/13/03 gave them my keys and was promised the car within a 2 week period. I said ok. Come 12/20/03 I decide to give the service dep. a call because I had heard nothing up to this point. They had told me that my car wasn't done yet but it soon would be I said ok. Come 12-26-03 my car was actually broken into at their service dep they left it outside on their lot. But they only decide to notify me of this on 1-2-04. The practically stole my car from the lot and left it in the middle of the st. the only reason they didn't take the car was because the engine was inside their shop. The total cost was about $1000 a broken door and steering column. Then they had the nerve to say that they where not responsible that it was an unfortunate accident that they had no liability for it and that I would have to pay the total cost of fixing it out of my own pocket. I said I refused and would take them to court and I put in a few calls but still they refused any responsibility. Come 1-12-04 they say my car engine should be done that all parts where in> I call later on that day they say "oh where still working on it that it would be dont by 1-14-04. I said fine. I call on that day they said they ran into a few problem with a part but that it would be guaranteed to be dont by the 16th that they where piecing it all together. I get a call on the 16th. They tell me again they ran into more problem that the damage was fare greater then they thought that a piston had gone threw the engine block and manifold. I ask them ok so when do you think it will be done now I get no response he "Dave" tells me I have no date I just dont know. I'm left to wonder if I will ever get my car back my car has been their since 12-13-03 it is now as I write this 1-17-04 well over a month and they are still finding problems they hadn't seen before. Mean while my car hasn't been fixed has been broken into cause me lots of stress. I have spent more money on transportation cause they decided not to proved me with a rental. and my car is still not fixed and haven even been given a date when it will me. I'm at the end of my rope all I want is to have my car back in my hands at times I have felt like going their and just telling them you know what keep the car I dont want it anymore.
I'm writing this as a last attempt cause I dont know what else to do. If you could please help me get my car back or help in any way I would tromindisly appreciate it.

Sorry to hear about your car.
Just trying to help: you may want to consider rearranging your email or letter into separate paragraphs (perhaps by date). In it's present form, it is difficult to read and may be interpreted as unprofessional. |

Since you've already got another thread on this with a lot more replies, this one should probably be closed.
