Default will a sti 04 tranny, ds and rear diff fit a 2008 wrx?

Guys

Will this fit into the Wrx 2008 hatch chassis?

Tranny, driveshaft, rear r180 diff and axles?

Thanks for the advance

DJ

Well, this has been talked about a but, but not in any depth yet I think.

The 2004 STi trans will bolt up. But there are some parts that you will have to change I think: linkage (need 2008+ sti linkage), clutch system (need pull style clutch and slave cylinder), possibly mount (I don't know if the new chassis uses the same trans mount).

You should be able to get the rear diff to work, but you might need a new cover for the R180. I know the new STi R180's have a revised cover design, but I don't know if this is for more oil capacity/cooling or if it's for mounting purposes.

I don't think the DS from a 2004 is the right length, but I am not sure.
