mine did that too. As you wash it and wax it a few times it becomes less noticable.

1: make sure all the glue stuff is off. I used a bug & tar remover, and my fingernail, and careful work of rubbing, and picking it off.
2: after is done, WAX!!! you must wax that area right after you get the gunk off. -Gagan |

Meguiars Scratch Remover.
Comes in this black bottle. It will take the haze right off. |

there's also 3M spray adhesive remover and Goo Gone. I washed, polished, and waxed my trunk lid after I debadged and it's perfect now.

Yeah, a little bit of waxing after you got all the sticky stuff off does the trick. It'll look nice and clean with no marks left.

Agree with most above, but
I'd hit it with a clay bar too.

Yeah, I used my fingernail to get off the remaining glue and then followed it with Meguir's cleaner/ wax. Totally came off, you can't see a thing

if its still there then hit it with a buffer and it will be gone for sure.

all i used was my old ladies hair dryer, some floss and my finger. after letters were removed, i just put some heat on the glue and rolled it off. no cleaners, wax, or buffing required. i was surprised at how easy it actually was to get all the glue off, with my finger.

you can't always just take it off with your fingers and a hair gun, it depends on how old the car is, what kind of weather it's been through, etc. just wash the car, get some polish or a clay bar and hit the trunk up and then wax it. you'll get some appreciation from turning your car into showroom condition again
