Default Beaufort, Sc Thread

Hey all! Just looking to see if anyone is from beaufort. I will be stationed there at the Naval Hospital for the next 3 years or so. looking to see whats the subaru scene like. Whats it like...?

I'm from California, been in japan for the past 7 years. So this is going to be quite a journey.

Anyone got reccomendations on where to live nere the naval hospital?

thanks!

There's quite a few places to live at here in Beaufort. Most of the driving wouldn't be more than 20 mins on a 45 speed given it's a pretty small town. Look into the preserves here, not even 5 mins from the hospital, you also have the oaks just a few more minutes from there. I'd stay away from Ashton pointe or some of these other places. As far as "getting away"like you stated in your other posts, it's a rather small town here.
There's actually a lot of scoobies here and nice cars period, as for the car scene not so much.

Whats it like living on base? I've been overseas since I've been in the navy, and right now i live off-base. Is living on base alright? I got an email last night saying that getting me a house on base will be no problem. how new are they? are they nice?

here's a little something i'm bringing with me from Japan.

my pride and joy. haha!

Is that the Genome exhaust? It does look nice!! I am stationed at the hospital myself. Be prepared as this is a SMALL place. I am from California originally and it is a change for me. There is virtually no Subie scene here sadly. I see a few Suby's here and there but no meets or anything that I have come across. Most Subie meets are at least an hour or so away, with most that I hear of being in Jacksonville, Florida which is 2.5 hours away. There is an 09 STI wagon on base but other than that, it is just me. Do you have a sponsor? If you don't, or you would like more info on NHB, my email is [email protected]. I can get more into detail as to the hospital and things. Hit me up and I can help you out!! Oh, and if you can help it, try NOT to live on Laurel Bay or on the hospital housing. Housing on NHB is really drab (although you can easily walk to work as the installation itself is extremely small) and Laurel Bay is a good half hour drive. I live on Parris Island housing and I absolutely love it! Hit me up and I will help you out.
