The hatch I think is still too small for family use. I scrape by on most occasions with my Impreza Sport. But yes we all are waiting for the HP wagon.

I got by with my wrx and a big roof box when my son was younger. Could probably still get by, but it'd be tough, admittedly, and even harder in the Golf R. |

We got by with a WRX and an STI from birth-3 with my daughter. Then it was an STI and a Civic until she was 8. I would hazard that a family of three would be just fine with a hatch. Depending on where you live and whether or not you do any towing of course.

it's more of the car camping that would make it difficult. Without that, we'd be just fine with a hatch.

Yeah, the extra space is needed there. The only reason the wife got the RS was because I told her we'd keep our Outback for fishing and outdoors activities.

The WRX concept was had a direct connection. The Advanced Tourer Concept I don't think did. It was a "design direction" concept. That they morphed a few times. This probably being another one. |

Im finding it easy to manage a family of 3 with my hatch WRX. Im hoping the new platform gives the rear seat some more space like it did for the impreza... second kid on the way and that will be tight in the 2012 wrx woth the rear facing seat up against the drivers seat. Have the 2017 forester 2.5i touring for long trips though.. because gas is cheaper.

7 inches longer than 2018 wrx. Typically the hatch is shorter than the sedan so this is more like the levorg/outback. 2" shorter than an outback. 12" longer than a crosstrek Last edited by MtnXfreeride; 03-06-2018 at 06:17 AM. |

CNET is reporting this is possibly the next gen outback as opposed to a new vehicle.

And remember it won't really look like this -- this just represents the general shape and design cues. I like it. |

I wouldnt be surprised with an outback shrinking since the ascent exists now. If it is Levorg, I'm sure the US wont see it. Where is that WRX hatch?? Hopefully something 3/30/2018 - 4/8/2018 New York International Auto Show Last edited by MtnXfreeride; 03-06-2018 at 09:08 AM. |

I think you are looking at the WRX "hatch". Whether we get it is another question... Oh man I hope not. THE. WORST. TIRE. EVER. Do they even make those still? Maybe its a newer potenza concept |

I still think this will be the Levorg wagon, not a WRX hatch.

Yep. I'm thinking Levorg or some strange All-Road/alltrack/Buick/whatever competitor.
Slightly disappointed but I'm sure it'll be neat. |
