Rust on a 08? Jesus...

Try a heavy duty sealant like Collinite 845 or Opti-seal to prevent corrosion. Also get any salt off of your car as soon as you can

Seal up every painted surface with a good synthetic sealant. Colli is definitely up there with longevity.

Seal up all painted surfaces on the underbody if you can get under there and also spray down with some Bare Bones by CG.

Collinite 476, 915, or 845 in that order from most durable to least durable.

i know it must be rough up there in vermont. i was gonna say seal it and spray it down to get the salt or dirt/grime off but it would freeze. i know thats what i had to do here a few times last year. sometime i just wiped it down in the garage with a rag and a bucket of water.
