Default 2015 WRX speaker whine(h/k system)

So I thought it was my Kenwood causing a whine in my speakers but now that's it's getting repaired and no headunit is installed it remains....kicker if I'm at idle perfectly silent it only seems whine at cruise. Any suggestions on what I need to ground?

sounds like an issue with the amplifier. perhaps a bad solder connection inside the amp or something like that. assuming everything else is stock beside the missing kenwood head.

I'm actually shocked there is amplifier whine without the HU to turn it (them) on. If it is the stock amp, then something connected to it is causing the whine. It could even be the Maestro box if you are using that to control the volume on the stock amp.

If it is an aftermarket amp, the noise could be ground related, RCA related, or be coming in through the remote turn-on lead connected to the car versus the radio's remote turn-on lead.

Most factory upgrade system has separate amp that turns on with interior power even when the HU is not turned on.
I think it maybe a bad amp or a bad ground loop.
The other thing could be a bad voltage regulator allowing too much noise passing into the electrical system.

Sounds like the amp. I had a 2005 Trailblazer before my Subaru and the speaker would whine constantly while driving. I replaced the amp and it stopped however I know that a loose connection will also do that.
