Recently got my 05 STI back from All Aspects. It started with a need to have a DOT compliant cat fabbed into the existing TurboXS downpipe. It ended with a new catted DP, Perrin EL headers, Grimmspeed uppipe, engine, trans, and diff fluid changes, new front axle seal, and a new protune.

I am also in love with my car again. Not bad for having almost 150k miles on the OG engine.

I'm curious to see if that really fixes the issue. The existing brake line was actually fine - the leakage was at the banjo bolt / caliper interface. The caliper is a reman that I installed back in March 2020, about 6k miles ago. Has the banjo bolt been seeping ever since and I just never noticed? Did the banjo bolt loosen a bit recently, so the leak just started? I'll have to keep an eye on it.
Looks like the answer is NO, it did not fix the issue. Still losing a little fluid, and looks like fresh fluid on the inside of the driver front wheel again. I just ordered a replacement under warranty from Rock Auto. (Cardone has a 2yr warranty on calipers, so I'm well within that.) I'll make sure I give the new caliper a good inspection in that area before I install it, and I'm curious to see if there's some obvious flaw on the sealing surface when I remove the existing caliper.

Installed another Cardone reman caliper on the driver front. Thankfully it's not windy today, as I have to do the work in my driveway with it being ~30F and light flurries falling. I don't see a "smoking gun" on the old caliper, like a scratch on the seat where the banjo bolt / crush washer seals against the caliper body. I'll have to take a closer look before I ship the old caliper back.

Fingers crossed that the replacement caliper fixes the issue for good!
